good pub food, reasonably priced with rapid service.

stopped in here for a quick bite with a work colleague. i had the chicken burger, which comes with fries. the bar menu is a little limited but the quality of food was good for the price paid, $14.

coffee was excellent.

recommended for a quick bite.

exceptionally impressed by the food & coffee at customs house. the sirloin steak (special) was perfectly cooked and balanced very well with the other components on the plate. stuffed chicken breast was moist and tasty. the best meal we've had in hobart.

overcooked and tasteless seafood basket, bad steak sandwich, average chicken burger. wouldn't recommend eating here

free breakfast worth $15 per person with our hotel booking and it was great! we got to pick from the menu and ordered bacon and eggs (our way) on toast. paid for extra hash browns and chipolatas which was only $7 all up. tasty food. bacon was a little too crispy for our liking but it was free so i'm not complaining lol.

monday half price muscles are a must amazing value for what we recieved. my partner and i had two courses and a little of excellent tasmanian pinot noir for under $120. highly reccomended great service and comfortable warm atmosphere. will be returning.

diana. am giving this restaurant the thumbs up tick mainly for the rustic setting & ambiance. the food is average, but expect to pay five star prices. we had a fishermans basket & fish & chips respectively. i have to say all the batter & relevent crumbing etc was good, but the fish we had was rather dry & overcooked. the salad which accompanied both meals was basic leaves & the chips were undercooked & white. the service was great, very attentive, & we enjoyed a great bottle of vino which made for an enjoyable evening overlooking the waterfront from the picture postcard dickens style window

had been to this place a few years ago and it was wonderful. however this time the meals were very disappointing. the seafood risotto was bland and tasteless and the chicken schnitzel was dry with frozen chips and a salad consisting of lettuce and cucumber and no dressing. wait staff were great though but will not go back again.

had lunch there with colleagues yesterday. food was below average on all counts. i had a chicken caesar. $24.50 for a plate of dried up chicken pieces and a bowl of overdressed chopped lettuce. others were stuck with deep fried pre frozen seafood ... greasy and horrible. good pub for a bevvy. wouldn't eat there again.

ordered the seafood paella, was served a bowl of what resembled a risotto, complete with grated parmesan cheese, whilst they are both rice based dishes, does the chef not know the difference?

i had oysters kilpratrick which had a lump of silver foil in one of the oysters, no apology from waitress! then crumbed scallops 8 for $27.50, more crumbs than scallops. not value, i won't be back

wallaby was fantastic, fish and paella also good. chicken was too dry and did not taste like tandoori flavour. prices quite high but in general quality is also high.

on recommendation from the waiter i had the wallaby. very nice and finished off with the cheese plate and apple/rubbard crumble. great food and great waiting staff. highly recommend
