chef gavin mills @chefgavinmills the executive chef at cuccina rustica is totally dedicated to serving market driven cuisine in @dtla. under his direction all pastas aremadein-house, all meats for their charcuterie are butchered, cured and aged in house.

if you can get past the outdated decor which is going to be updated in a few months you are in for a treat.

wemadereservations to spend new years eve at this restaurant weeks in advance. we chose the hotel to stay at so we would be close. when we arrived for our reservations we were told that despite the fact that they had our reservations, they would not accommodate us because they had not called us back to re-confirm -- not that we were supposed to call them. to turn people out at 8:30 pm on nye is unacceptable. i will never do business with this place and would strongly urge everyone else to think twice about dealing with such dishonest creeps. rude, rude, rude is all i have to say about my very brief interaction with the so-called host.
