a fine and elegant restaurant, it's the perfect place to impress your date.

we had their sample platter which is a great deal, you get to try out an assortment of their signature appetizers which includes foie gras, caviar, and seared scallops. we ordered the us certified angus prime rib and its big enough for 4 persons to share, thesteakwas done perfectly medium rare and carved at our table side. each piece ofsteakwas tender and well seasoned, while the red wine(canyon road) elevated the flavor of thesteakto new heights.

other worthy mentions are their crabcakes and lambchops.

an elegant place where you're guaranteed to get a bang for your buck. its reasonably priced and you get everything you pay for.

me and hubby had the most romantic wedding anniversary celebration at cru steakhouse. our reservation at cru steakhouse was an hour after the wonderful experience at the quan spa. it's now time for a gastronomic delight. we had the 3-course meal.

we were served first with a bottle of grant burge “benchmark” cabernet sauvignon barossa valley, australia and a bottle of san pellegrino. arrived right after on a breadboard is a trio of bread -- parmesan, spinach and tomato and two types of spread -- pesto butter and goat cheese.

the chef is already grilling thesteakwhile we're halfway done with our salad. i had mine cooked medium well. the 250g grilled certified angus beef usda prime rib eye is juicy, tender and was perfectly cooked the way i wanted.

thesteakis complemented with grilled portobello mushroom and potato and onion gratin served in hot iron pot. i loved the potato and onion gratin but i find the grilled portobello mushroom too sweet for my taste.

our delicious dinner was capped of with white chocolate cheesecake and mango ice cream.

giving this restaurant 5 star for overall experience and satisfaction! from interior, service and food!
their complimentary bread is a bomb it's hot and freshly baked. must order the appetizer sampler so that you can taste all in a bite size without making you full, ugghhhh especially the carpaccio ohhhhh it's so good. one good thing is that you can choose anysteakcut you want and i would recommend that you pair it with mac and cheese truffle and your favorite wine 🍷🍷🍷. you're welcome 💋

cru has an intimate ambiance and i like the combination of black, white & red in their interiors.steakis good but i didn't like the fact that they didn't have aged steak. if you are not particular with it, you'll probably rate this a 4. the agedsteakin raging bull and la cabrera obviously is more flavorful. plus raging bull's pepper sauce has some magic in it. the sides at cru though are better than raging bull and la cabrera. the truffle risotto and bacon beans were great. so overall, this is a great steakplace. but because i prefer aged beef, raging bull still tops my list.

everything about this place is epic. first, we ordered the sample appetizer plate which includes 9 of their starters. that was delicious. we ordered the 700 gram porterhousesteakfor both me and my wife. that was absolutely one of the best steaks we've had in manila. just remember that food this epic takes time to prepare, so be ready for some waiting time.

cru steakhouse: loss of fine dining status-

my wife and i decided to have our third anniversary dinner at cru steakhouse on march 3, 2021. we chose the location after careful consideration of other alternatives. we figured that with a marriott brand and cru's framing itself as a fine dining steakhouse, we anticipated a cozy, warm, and quiet intimate dinner. before our appetizers were served, someone from marriott banquet services accompanied a couple and their guests who were planning a future wedding reception at cru. my wife and i dressed up for the occasion and all of a sudden these guests came in in slippers and sneakers and proceeded to have a loud conversation right in front of us for the duration of our dinner. my wife and i decided to forego after dinner drinks and just wanted to leave the place immediately out of disgust! i have been to other steakhouses around the world and this is the first time that i saw a banquet services discussion unfold loudly in the middle of dinner service. i understand that cru is not a ruth's chris, morton's or lawry's (the prices however are similar in range!) but we would have expected at least to enjoy even a minimum amount of professionalism and formality for an expensive restaurant. our verdict? an expensivesteakdinner, acceptable in quality, in a denny's or ihop environment. not worth the 200.00 usd given the (lack of ) ambience. get your act together or sell $5.99 steaks to match your cheap environment.

we ate at cru steakhouse yesterday to celebrate our wedding anniversary. ♥️

we requested for the round table (it was a good decision for a date night since the seat was cozy and a bit more private, the lighting was also adequate).

they served us on the house:
- bread and herbed and butter spread (the flavors of the bread and texture were exquisite: tomato, spinach and parmesan) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- chocolate cake (with happy anniversary note written on a delicious hazelnut chocolate bar) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

service was really good from the reservation to the bill out). the gap between serving of the dishes is well spaced to make us hungry for the next plate, and every serving big enough to satiate us and not to make us too hangry! 😛

value for money: quite expensive but what would you expect with fine dining like this? 😉

we ordered:
- seared goose liver (the umami flavor of the liver is really good, the apple-cherry relish resets the palate) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- organic tomatoes salad (we liked how they added twist to the tomato in the middle and the handmade buratta was really rich and not too salty) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- wild mushroom soup (we really liked the truffle flavor as well as creaminess and thickness of the soup) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- australian mulwarra wagyu rib-eye mbs +9 250g (the flavor of the salt and pepper on thesteakis just enough to bring out the flavor of the marbling, shiraz sauce for me was best to pair it with, my husband loved the black peppercorn sauce. the chef was kind enough to split our order into 2, cooking my meat medium, and my husband’s medium rare. the meat on both doneness is still very tender) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- garlic baked jumbo asian tiger prawns (we thought cru steakhouse is only serious on steaks, the baked prawns had nothing special in it) ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- green beans and garlic bacon crumble (we loved the salty butter flavor of the beans) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- black truffle risotto (we thought the rice was just mixed with the wild mushroom soup, the flavor was really close or the same) ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- grilled asparagus (cooked enough to maintain its crunchiness, a little bland for me) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- grilled portobello mushrooms (we liked the marinade’s sumptous flavor) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- mille feuille (the hazelnut chantily cream’s sweetness is not too strong, which for me is really good, there was one slice of strawberry, would have loved if it had more 😅 this one was on the house, as rocelle, the one assisting us told us it took quite some time to serve our entrée) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- penfolds koonuga hill shiraz cabernet (fruity and not too dry, good to pair with the steak) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

we went here for the sunday unli-steak, and it's certainly a belly-full. first of all, take note that thesteakis more accurately described as roast beef, i'm not entirely certain of the cut but it is a cooked whole roast, which they then carve into slices and sear for each customer. this is not the same as your regular steakhouse steak. that being said, it's still quite good, i would just feel like i would enjoy thinner slices more than the default thickness that they slice it at. it comes with a choice of starter, we went for the foie gras and it tasted quite nice. for dessert they have a buffet table with around 4 desserts, and most of them were quite good also.

all in all, for 1700 net per person, i would call this is to be a pretty good value for money. you're not gonna get the variety you might get with other buffets, but it still is pretty good and you'll definitely get filled up. if you get bored easily or not the biggest roast beef fan, maybe not for you.

spent our first year anniversary here.

service is top-notch; booking details were keenly observed. take note that we used our one-day membership card to avail a discount on all items. all staff, from their front office(rocelle*) down to our servers (jeng* and the others) were very courteous, pleasing and helpful.

ambiance: amber themed surroundings as you move your head from their flaming kitchen towards their collection of dalmore on their bar. however there are lots of shadows due to hanging stuff will kind of ruin your insta ideas.

food: we were served by fresh organic bread while waiting for our orders. we really liked the goat cheese that came with it.
1. cru appetizer sampler (p900+)
we were glad that our server recommended this. the goose liver sample is our favorite; the scallops are our second pick. the rest were good but forgettable.
2. us cab rib eye 350g (p3200)
cooked perfectly medium to our liking. we eatsteakon rare occasions and this time i got to taste the "masculinity" of the meat which is known for this type of meat. not as soft and tender like wagyu but still has the distinct own flavor. still has those "litids" here and there but nothing really to frown of. perfect with asparagus, not much with potato gratin that we chose.

my wife really liked their surprise! they even left a card with personal messages from their staff which completed our night

we went during their sunday roast. it was unlimitedsteakat only php1,300.00 net. i did not expect much since it was only 1,300– - maybe the quality of thesteakwould be inferior as compared to its regular steak. surprisingly, i was wrong. thesteakwas perfect - - tender, tasty and fatty!!! i loved their apple pie (not the picture) too.

we went here for their sunday roast unlimited offer during thier 11.30am to 2pm timeslot.we arrived 11.30 am sharp and had a room reserved for 8 pax 2 weeks back.

i think i don't need to descibe the quality of their service since it was superb. 5/5 for me.

this also holds true for their ambience and cleanliness 5/5.

the quality of food was superb as well. i chose the mushroom soup, it lacked a little salt but it was good. the marbled potatoes and carrots were seasoned just right. the us certified angus roast beef tasted great! i had it cooked medium rare on my first and second serving and man were they soft and tender. you can taste the eseence of charcoal in the steaks. the dipping sauce also matches well with thesteakbut i prefer eating it as is or with salt. for my third serving i had it cooked medium. it was still soft and tender but the grill was hotter since there were already a lot of people when they took this order thus the edges were a little charred and it was also good! for my fourth serving i had it done medium well. this was already a little harder compared to the other 3 so i think this is as far as you want your steaks to be cooked. the sides were charred making it tastier. the fifth serving, which my daughter had for free since she's just 4 y/o, was cooked weel done. please just don't have your steaks done this way, it is a waste. it's dry and hard. the dessert, the apple pie, was so good! it wasn't too sweet and the aples didn't over whelm the pie. food quality is at 4.5/5.

value for money 5/5. for 1,300 net per head it was worth it. our total bill was around 6k, for 6 adults and 2 children below the age of 5. we even had a botrle of wine with that and my daughter ate for free.

will definitely come back for more (if there's no traffic)

p.s. don't forget to reserve seats because the place was packed when we left.

recently, my boyfriend and i dined at cru since i've been craving for a goodsteakfor so long. also, it was for my post-birthday, our 26th monthsary, and pre-valentine's date.

when we got seated, we were given the menu and recommendations. the waiter that served us was very accommodating and love how the ambiance was romantic at the same time, alive.

for starters, we got the crab cake, and i must say, it was very delicious. it was made with real cram meat, and the texture was perfect. for our main course, i got the 250g long fed gold striploin, cooked medium rare with whipped potato, and black truffle risotto on the side. thesteakwas juicy and full of flavor, i loved it so much! plus, the creamy whipped potato was a good side dish since the black truffle risotto has a strong taste, it balanced out the flavors. but don't get me wrong, i also loved the risotto, i think out of all the risottos i've tried, it's one of the best.

for my boyfriend, he got the 250g long fed gold rib-eye cooked medium well with baked 4-cheese potatoes and roasted marble potatoes. it was his first time trying a legit premiumsteakand he loved it! the texture of the rib-eye was tender and juicy, so flavorful. plus, his sides were bomb as well. (i tried them myself!)

overall, i recommend this restaurant for couples for that intimate dinner - will surely go back for more! also, if you are a member of club marriott, you'll get 30% off on top of your bill what a steal!
