crispelli's bakery & pizzeria

scam alert. don't let all the great reviews fool you ! the food is ok not out of this world ! they put the high price brick oven as close to the front door as they could so you see it when you walk in. they don't really make all their food there ,it is brought in ,,, even the dough! this is an deli that buys good product and sells it cooked. one of their "chefs" live 2 door down from me and was cutting grass for a living a few years ago while living with mom and dad.the food is ok nothing that would make me go back! guess if you need to say you went there to feel trendy then go bring money ,it clean and busy ,but if i'm paying what they charge i want to be waited on!

a other coal fire brick ovenpizzaplace!!!. seen the crowds and thought this place was going to be great!! the place was set up all wrong very confusing set up they have a person at the door telling how to order food because it confusing! its suppose to be a place where you can watch them make your food as you order it but as soon as you give order they push you down the line to get you bill then you have to go to other area to pay for you bill and there is no table service, seems like there is 4-5 different area to order , looks like a bakery, coffee, sandwich,pizza and dessert, food was ok they were cheap on toppings for white pizza, place was clean bathrooms ok but wouldnt visit this place again the food isnt worth the price!

caesar salad was ok but a tad bland. the italian panini was unimpressive. tablemates said the deep dishpizzatasted like jet's. meh.

not great, super loud obnoxious atmosphere, had to get up at least 5 times during the meal to get sides, coffee, pick up our menu items. not a relaxing dinner. had to yell to hear each other at our own table. i'm not a huge fan of cafeteria style in general and this place was particularly bad for loud and crowded, lack of info or clarity on how to actually get the food from nonexistant staff, etc. that being said the decor was cute and the oizza itself was solid but not great. the sides were very lackluster. get brick ovenpizzacheaper and better somewhere cute and small and quiet!

i really liked this place, was very warm and cozy. the mediterraneanpizzawas amazing as was the cheesecake!

go where now?. crispelli's has a beautiful exterior. inside is an upscale cafeteria type restaurant. you have to find a seat and then figure out which food station to go to to place an order. paying was confusing. thepizzawas fresh but it was oily and not great.
when we were there it was really busy and very loud, lots of families with many kids.
i wouldn't go back

i love crispelli's!! their corned beef sandwich was awesome,pizzavery good . i will be back with friends!! everything is delicious!

great food. i have been several times, and i have now had a chance to try their pizza, sandwiches, salads and desserts. all have been great. thepizzahas a great crust. the salads, even the small size, are big enough to share. the concept can be somewhat confusing when you first walk in, but the staff is very friendly and helpful. one of my family's favorite places to get pizza!

good food real food!!. this place has it all good food and great atmosphere. ordering was a little confusing would be my only critique, although the rumor on the street is that they are working to make that a little easier. i got the mediterraneanpizzaand an antipasto salad, both were off the charts good! thepizzawas awesome, no red sauce and great toppings. the guy that complained about a lack of toppings must have been there on an off day, because i was satisfied with the amount of toppings on my pizza. the antipasto salad was by far the highlight of my meal, it was delicious and presented beautifully. it is easy to see that this place uses top notch ingredients which do cost money, so if you are going to complain about the prices go somewhere else and pay the price you want to pay for the level of food you want to eat. i also tried the italian panini and the clam chowder, both very good. to top it off we got these great little canolli's for dessert.... delicious! not too sweet or too rich, perfect balance, all made in house too! they have detroit originals like faygo and better made potato chips, which tells me this company supports local businesses which is a good thing. great food, cool place check it out.

delicious pizza. great thin crustpizzadone to perfection, loaves of bread also delicious- service does leave a little to be desired but we will be back!!

amazing food and nice atmosphere. i first tried crispelli's on a busy friday night. we were seated within 10 minutes and were able to order drinks while we waited and the staff gave out free samples to those waiting for tables. thepizzaand salads are phenomenal and the portions are large. i will definitely be returning!
