id come back. i had an overall great experience for lunch atcraftedtoday. first time and the servers were really helpful and attentive (might have helped that i was fairly early). i like that you can mix and match the tacos because i wanted to try 2 different types. i chose the members only (duck confit) and the wayfarer (pulled pork) with a side of chips and salsa. the duck confit was excellent. i would order it again, really excellent flavor. the pulled pork was good, but not great. id try other flavors next time. i really enjoyed the salsa and the waitress warned me it was mild and was happy to bring me hot sauce to liven it up a bit. good flavor, you could tell it was made fresh. i wasnt "full" but i think most americans have a skewed idea of what "full" should be. i wasnt hungry, so while its not "cheap" its what i would expect to pay for high-er end food.

fantastic restaurant, will be back.. everything i had here is fantastic, and the wait was completely worth it.

that being said, craftedeither needs to open a second restaurant or relocate to handle the high demand and popularity of the restaurant. it's affordable, the food is fresh and the wait staff is very nice. needing an additional (or larger) location is honestly a good problem to have.

not quite great. i'd really like to givecrafteda nice recommendation. they do some things well and their ideas are generally good, but their food doesn't quite hit the mark for me. here's what i can recommend at crafted: the fixie -- a beef brisket taco topped with grilled pineapple, sweet chili sauce, and coconut aioli. generally a bit drippy, but still a tasty combination. also, i like their guacamole, which is chunky and has a nice balance of cilantro and zingy bite. i'd suggest ordering it as your side for the extra $1 if you decide to try it. otherwise, i can also recommend their sweet potato chips, which are nice and thin, which keep them airy and crisp.

however, there are several things aboutcraftedthat keep me from being a regular here. one major flaw are their tortillas, which always seem about as fresh as ones i'd buy at a local supermarket. they make their chips from these (both flour or corn are available, so whichever you prefer), and i personally dislike the thick, oil soaked chips these become. other issues are usually a matter of mediocrity or lack of harmony in a dish. for instance, my experience with the fedora (a taco with blacked tuna, seared rare, kim chee, garlic aioli, and scallions) was pretty underwhelming. it sounded good, but the tuna ended up dwarfed by its toppings, and being such a delicate flavor, was lost underneath what were supposed to be its compliments. even after taking part of the toppings off, it was a bland, unexciting dish. in fact, the kim chee was just red cabbage. it was not even close to the spicy, fermented korean kraut that is so distinctive. other dishes i've tried there have been equally unimpressive, such as the oxford (fried chicken, spaghetti squash slaw, and spicy asian mustard) and the po' boy (cajun fried shrimp, lettuce, pico de gallo, cajun remoulade, and spicy pickles).

overall, i just thinkcraftedneeds to hone itself. some better ingredients (the tortillas would go a long way) and some time spent harmonizing their taco combinations would make this place really worth it.craftedhas good potential, but they've not reached it yet.

small place, big taste. we went tocrafteda few weeks ago on a saturday night with some friends. the wait was quite long, and there was no waiting area - instead, diners must stand in a three foot wide hallway that is probably forty feet long, which is adjacent to the open kitchen. not the best arrangement in my opinion, but one of the quirks of downtown dining, and the wonderful smells coming out of the kitchen give you a taste of things to come.

the atmosphere of the restaurant was definitely unique for the piedmont triad. the hipster quotient was so high you would swear you were in brooklyn or portland, and the ambiance reflects that aesthetic......including several pictorial odes to pabst blue ribbon beer, that old hipster standby.

the food, however, was unquestionably excellent. we had appetizers, drinks, dinner, and desert, and there wasn't a bad taste to be had. i'm not the biggest margarita fan in the world, but theirs were excellent. the pulled pork was tender and juicy, all the sauces were flavorful. the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. overall, i would highly recommendcraftedfor your next downtown greensboro dining excursion,

hipsters & suits & foodies...all say yum!. as of 2013, a relative newcomer to downtown dining, craftedsupplies friendly and speedy service, intimate seating and tasty tacos! proudly not a mexican restaurant, crafteddeclares their image proudly, with tattoos, pbr on draft, water in mason jars and an artfully chosen menu. lunch on a friday presented an eclectic mixture of diners and everyone seemed quite happy. - -

the tacos speak for themselves and anyone able to visit more than once will want to try them all. i enjoyed a fish taco and bbq beef (with spicy sauce), plus sweet potato chips and aioli. their six taps reflect southern quality, which (at the time) included terrapin, lonerider and foothills. - -

eat here to feel cool, leave full (but not overstuffed or heavy) and not break the bank. relatively small place with a see-through kitchen up front and the menu is just a front/back, but even still it can be hard to pick just one option. best tacos in greensboro? i don’t live here, so can’t speak with authority, but i left here grinning ear to ear! if i was local, this would easily be a regular spot for lunch or dinner.

downtown greensboro has been graced withcraftedthe art of the taco, and it is not a mexican restaurant, it’s a taco joint. and you can have just about any custom taco with side combination you desire, but it won’t be served with an enchilada, baby. it will be served with another taco…and pico…and maybe a salad and some other really cool stuff. and here’s almost the best part, under 10 bucks.

fresh tacos and no heavy feeling. four of us ate atcraftedduring our lunch hour this week. three of us ordered the taco specialities and one in our party ordered a burger. we ordered the stuffed avacado for our table to share. all of the tacos were delicious! you get a very fresh taste in the taco (their tacos are not sitting around waiting to be stuffed!). my co-worker ordered the "one and only burger" and said it was delicious as well. beautiful decor inside the restaurant and wonderful staff. definitely a "go-to" place for greensboro. will go back for sure! so glad to have such a restaurant in greensboro.

new favorite place. my husband and i went tocraftedlast friday night, which also happened to be first friday. the place was packed but we only had to wait about 20 minutes. which was fine because we were able to sit on wine and watch the dudes in the kitchen. i loved the decor. the life music was awesome. we felt like we were sitting in the east village, not greensboro. the food was killer. we ordered the stuffed avocado which i highly recommend, so good. i had a tuna taco, the tuna was cooked perfectly. great date night place or a fun night out with friends.

delicious!. i went tocraftedfor the first time today and am blown away by the layers upon layers of flavors that were in my taco. i went for the falafel taco (which i highly recommend it is very crunchy and hearty in size) and subbed in vegan cilantro lime aioli for the house sauce.
wow! that is all i can say it was just so good that i am glad no one was with me. i just wanted to focus on eating and not worry about conversation.
the staff is very pleasant and helpful. i can't wait for my next visit...i suppose this time i will bring a friend.

falafel!. i've always had a hard time finding good falafel in greensboro, butcraftednailed it! i've tried a couple other dishes there as well, which were equally on point.

they also have a super friendly staff and you can tell everyone that works there gets along just as well out of the kitchen as they do within.

allergen friendly!. i am gluten and dairy intolerant, so eating tacos for the past three years has been impossible.crafteduses corn tortillas on all their tacos and most everything can be made gf and even vegan! they are very accommodating and don't charge extra for vegan cheese, house made corn chips, or for subbing in chofu (tofu chorizo). i have had a great experience every time i'm here because i know i will be getting something suited to my dietary needs. very friendly wait staff and very knowledgeable as well! they also have gf beer!
