we were told there were no tables inside. were initially seated on the patio. asked to be moved inside because the patio was cold and my wife has fibromyalgia. were moved inside to 1 of 4 empty tables. sat and waited, and waited, and waited. watched othe tables leave and get filled. 3 tables got seated and got their drinks, all while the lady who seated us kept walking by and cleaning tables next to us. we were never asked for drinks, etc. nobody attempted to serve us. as we left, we told the lady that seated us we were leaving because nobody served us. she feigned surprise and said "really? oh my, i'm sorry." but never offered to fix the situation."

my wife and i each ordered ny strip steaks based on our waitresses recommendations of the restaurant having the best , hand cut steaks in town. i ordered medium rare and my wife ordered well done. steaks came and mine was rare and my wife’s was maybe medium rare. we only sent my wife’s back because rare was acceptable to me just not preferred . the waitress said the kitchen said it should only take a minute and a half or so ( from medium rare to well ? ) well...the steak came back and it was at best medium. a far cry from well done. we sent it back once again and when the owner took the steak from the waitress he made the comment “ so she wants it burnt ? “ loud enough for us to overhear. i asked to speak with him after overhearing the comment and he brushed it off as “ kitchen talk “ yeah , right... i asked for our check and to just forget about the steaks but he insisted on making it right. end result .... they returned with a new steak for me ( very rare vs medium rare ) but i was over it by then and let it go. my wife’s steak was the same one , now cooked for a 3rd time and still pink and tough as shoe leather. the owner offered to buy us a dessert ( really ? ) for our issues . i never asked for a comp for at the very least my wife’s meal but i shouldn’t have had to. it should have been automatic for a truly customer focused establishment. we picked at the steaks , left at least 75% of them on the plate , paid the entire bill ( no discount offered ) and left. they said they were very proud of being named the #1 restaurant in helen 2 years in a row. well , this experience doesn’t bode well for a 3rd if this is how they treat customers with issues. mistakes happen , i get it , but coping an attitude toward a customer with a legitimate issue and no meaningful attempt at restitution left us feeling uncomfortable , unappreciated and patronized.

food was okay. burgers were decent, but the fries kinda suck. they got hard when i didn’t eat them fast enough. staff was awesome and friendly, though!

great staff, awesome food, and chill atmosphere...rainbow friendly 🌈! our server, amanda, was very helpful and knowledgable about the town and my fried chicken was the best i've ever had :)

my family and i ate here tonight and have an amazing dinner and the fried chicken was very chrisp and moist and well seasoned the mash potatoes were smooth and creamy. service was quick, our server was really pleasant. just a great place for a family meal. very clean

awesome place. the entire staff is attentive and friendly. they automatically give you that southern grace and i will defiantly be going back. the food is wonderful and the atmosphere is relaxing. this is a absolutely clean facility inside and out and fog friendly. i strongly recommend this place. get off the beaten path and enjoy the effort they have put into their landscape surroundings.

dining from the south . excellent choice of foods to satisfy this ole girl and her hubby. we had a nice relaxing time on the deck, listened to the soft sounds of country, dined on an appetizer of fried pork

absolute best restaurant in helen. food is awesome, place is spotless. finally after years i can finally recommend a place to eat out to our cabin guests.

don't miss this restaurant!. the pork is to die for... the shrimp & grits are even better... the steaks are better than that and the list goes on. this is a gem in a town full of tourist places. i have two problems with cowboys and angels. 1) i don't live close so that i can eat there more often. 2) i never leave room for dessert.

my wife and i enjoy eating at the bar. the servers are always very attentive and entertaining. i would recommend cowboys and angels to anyone looking for great food and drink in north georgia.

strawdawg. cowboys and angels is hands down the best steak and seafood place in or around helen. the cowboy cut ribeye is the best steak i have ever had in my life!
everything is prepared with love and care and you can sit at the bar with randy and watch the kitchen work their magic. do not miss this place while in helen.

well prepared steaks, fresh sides (hard to find good vegetables in helen!). very reasonably priced wine list.
