fabulous place. busy on a sunday morning but were seated within 10 mins and offered coffee while we waited. very friendly and efficient service-lost count of how manytimes coffee was refreshed. nick's eggs bennie were the best. cinnamon rolls looked amazing- wish i'd ordered one to go. we'll be back again and again!

a perfect american breakfast joint. you will mostly have to wait at least 10-15 mins if you are visiting during the morning peak hours but the wait is well worth it.
it's bustling with conversations. the staff is friendly and smart. loved the meat lovers omelette that i ordered along with hash browns and biscuit toasts.
service is not too slow given the amount of crowd that they have.
will love to visit again!

quiet, comfy with good home cooked meals.  ate there first time on a thursday afternoon.  ordered chicken fried steak, eggs, hash browns, thick wheat toast, gravy.  $20 with endless coffee refills, and i mean _good_ coffee.  my partner agreed; best tasting breakfast we've enjoyed in years.  waitress attentive and polite.

not so sure why everyone raves about this place like i'm honestly confused why people say the food is good! my english muffin was stale and hard as a rock. confused as to why reviews mention good country fried steak. i waited 30 minutes for something that was undercooked inside and burnt on the outside... it was also just very unappetizing. brown bag had the best country fried steak until they changed their recipe and for less than this place! $15 for something chewy and rubbery? i won't be going back. the eggs were okay but definitely not over medium which is what i asked for. the gravy was watery. the hash browns were mushy/undercooked on the inside and unseasoned. if i wanted to have the most plain plate of hash browns i would have just gone to safeway and bought myself some to cook at home. it would have matched the level of service i received at couzins cafe! the cinnamon roll my boyfriend ordered clearly came from a package cause it was chalky and i saw a seam from packaging. it also was bland except for the cream cheese icing which was sort of an odd flavor. the bright side of that is we only wasted $4 on that. overall a very bad experience with the food, atmosphere and service. we got the nice "repaired" booth seat in the back too so yeah i for sure think that the food is way overpriced for the restaurant it's in. if your friends recommend this place to you they are absolutely crazy. don't try it!!

we received a "buy one burger get one free" coupon in the kirkland shopper.

was very excited to go try a burger. when we arrived we ordered our drinks and $12.99 burgers.

we presented the coupon.

we were told if you read the fine print (i mean really fine print) this coupon was for dinners only.

we asked if they would honor it since we had already ordered. we were told no? really? could not believe it, w got up and left and never experienced the special cousins burger.

you would think if they had gone to all that trouble to get us in their with the coupon they would of made us happy? no go!

went there for my birthday, 11-15-15.  they made me a strawberry's souffle, which was fantastic.  this is my third trip to couzin's, again great customer service and healthy portions for reasonable price.

i think, this is the best breakfast place on the eastside and i'm really, really picky...

my sister wanted to go to couzin's to celebrate her birthday because she used to be a regular! understanding we came on a sunday and we had a party of 7 we didnt mind waiting, but (coming from a background in the restaurant biz) we watched people who came after us be seated in locations where they should have been planning for our larger table. after over an hour, they called our party and were told by the hostess we were going to be at separate tables, telling us "you can take this or... i don't know when we'll be able to seat you." we, regretably, took it asking to be relocated when a table became available. after about 5 minutes a large party left and we asked to be seated there before our food came so our party could be together, the waitress said she would see what she could do. instead of acccommodating we heard the hostess say in passing to her co-workers "there's no way i'm moving them", and proceeded to sit only 3 people at a table that could fit 6-7. i was furious! that was totally unprofessional and lacked tact. when we received our food, my significant other's food was soggy and cold.

the one good thing i can say was our waitress was very nice, and quick. go you, girl!

i am not sure if the hostess was new, or just didnt understand how to deal with high volume, higher stress siutations, but she was completely unaccommodating and rude. i will be reaching out to the owners. no thanks, brown bag cafe it is!

we went on a sunday and there was definitely a line out the door to this tiny spot. we were lucky that space opened up for us in about half and hour and service was pretty quick! i rarely had american full breakfast and decided to go all out with country fried steak. crisp english muffin (with loads of butter), crisp hash brown and runny sunny side up — checked. not wow but tasty. the beef was thin, tender and crisp, with great flavors in the breading. i only wish the gravy was not as starchy; it was a little sticky to the teeth and palate. flavor of the gravy was good – nice peppery chicken flavor, what i would expect in a good diner.

the experience here was perfect. we received our meals a short time after we ordered them. it was all hot as it should be the pancake syrup was even hot. try this place out you will not be disappointed. tasty we will be back.

i liked this little café quite a bit. the service was friendly, the portions were generous, and the food tasted good.

best chicken fried steak i've ever had. too bad i'll never go back. wife had the club sandwich and the tomato was rancid. after a couple bites she realized something was wrong and completely lost her appetite. owner refused to take the rancid, unedible meal off the bill. this is not how you should run a restaurant. if you serve something so bad that it makes someone nauseous, you don't force them to pay for it. that is unacceptable.

awesome place for brunch. highly recommend their blue cheese burger and everything strawberry (crepes, waffles, etc.).
