second time's a charm. the first time i visited this place i was not a happy person. the food was good, but theservicewas terrible and they were out of most of the items on the menu. to be fair, our first stop in was on valentine's day and they were short handed and extremely busy. i asked to speak with a manager and he basically told me, that he had people call in and were unprepared for the large crowd. he bascially said it was too bad that i was unhappy and they weren't going to do anything to appease me.
i'm from texas and we know how to do bbq. i'm a big fan of pit bbq, so after stewing over a month, i decided to give the place another try on a day that wasn't so busy. my second, third, and forth visits were much better. theservicewas great, and the food was amazing!
their portions are very large. they have six different sauces to tempt your palate. the complimentary corn muffins are served with honey butter. (it's nice not to have to buy the bread) the meat is always tender and juicy. the warm potato salad and pit roasted veggies are my favorite of the sides. when i want bbq, i usually go for the beef and pork, but their chicken is mouthwatering too. i haven't tried any of their sandwiches or salads. i usually stick to the combos. for desert try their strawberry shortcake. they aren't stingy with the strawberries or the whipped cream.
this place stays pretty busy, so come in early to make sure all menu items are available. the bbq is finger licking good!
