cosmo's restaurant & bar

i had the fried shrimp. wife had crab cakes. both were excellent,shrimpwere cooked perfectly. not overcooked or overbreaded. they also were fully deveined which some of the other restraunts in the area cannot seem to get right. crab cakes were full of crab. had to go back one more time before heading home and food was consistent which is very hard to find.

wow holy cow amazing fantastic !!!! from the moment we got out is the car the cosmo experience did not disappoint. with a 45 min wait and a beautiful night we bellied up to the outside bar where we were greeted by kevin and lisa, our bartenders for the evening. we ordered a specialty drink each and some of their firecrackershrimptossed in a spicey roumalade sauce. amazing huge portion priced right and just enough sauce. we walked through their shops (donated to their animal rescue fund) and it was time for dinner. we sat on the patio and it was a perfect night to do so. sarah d was our server and you couldn't ask for a more pleasent knowledgeable professional fun person to have. i ordered the grilled cobia and sautéed veggies and a ceseare salad. mom ordered the soft shell crab poboy. the fish was cooked perfectly the salad was fresh crisp and dressed just right. the soft shell crab was some of the best we have ever tasted and seasoned just right. we saved a tiny space for dessert (although had to take most of it home with us). white chocolate bread pudding and butter rum sauce and peanut butter pie with a pretzel crust and chocolate drizzle. the price for our entire meal (including the bar tab) was 70$. i mean seriously i couldn't have imagined such an amazing experience for the price. these folks do it right!!!!

best meal in area yet. the waiter we had wasn't very good, but other waiters seemed really on it. it was nice getting fresh bread with our salads, and salads were good. i got a rib eye and it was fantastic. it was cooked medium rare, juicy all the way through, tasty, and entire steak was great. the parmesan risotto was extremely flavorful and the potato's were great too. i got key lime pie, and it was good, just no pucker factor. we got the hot typeshrimpappetizers and i thought they were a little light on the sauce and breading was a bit heavy and hard. my wife got the savory cheesecake and didn't like it. it was supposed to be like a quiche, but she said it tasted like a cheese ball. my parents got gumbo and said it was good and spicy, and they split a pork dish and were happy with it. it was plenty for both of them. for 28 bucks, that's the best steak dinner i've had. it's supposed to be 14 ounce prime rib eye and sure seemed like it. the price seemed unreal for the quality.

my husband and i along with our daughters 2&5 vacationed at orange n beach. we ate around 5:30 at cosmos which was very busy but a near, relaxing wait. all of the staff was warm and friendly and very attentive. my girls devoured the kidsshrimpwhile i had ashrimpsushi roll and house salad. my husband loved the crabcakes! it was yummy, fun and a great environment. the experience is a must for orange beach!

i had the chicken roulade & he had friedshrimpwhich were both good. we sat inside because it had started to drizzle but the outside would have worked to as it was covered. nice atmosphere at this restaurant.

we love cosmo's - great for a date night or dinner with the kids! they have a fun beer list, love their bloody mary and have tried several menu items including the firecrackershrimp(an app but easily can become a meal, so tasty!), the cuban (not y fave choice but my friend loved it), the chicken roulade and theshrimppo'boy- lotsa shrimp! it crowds out easily during season, like anything else, but worth the wait!

food and service here were both excellent. jonathan was our server for lunch and he did a fantastic job!! he was attentive to our needs, made trustworthy recommendations, and was very entertaining. the firecrackershrimpare delicious!! we also enjoyed several sushi rolls. would recommend this restaurant to any and everyone.

second time here, we really like this place. the friedshrimp& the "savory cheesecake" are nothing special. i highly recommend the alfredo pasta & the mahi sandwich. the firecrackershrimpis awesome but hurt my belly. mojito really good.

cosmo's is a must if you're in the area. we've been a couple of times while staying in perdido key. the food quality is exceptional and tastes absolutely delectible. we started with appetizers: gumbo, calamari & firecrackershrimp- we could have stopped there and been more than satisfied. i had the pecan redfish with risotto and asparagus (see menu for details). the rest of the family had ribeye, tournedos & various sushi (volcano!). each dish was exceptional! will definetly be back!

fantastic!!. we had to eat in the bar area and even in there the crowd was laid back and relaxed. good atmosphere. service was friendly and helpful. food could not have been better. fried oysters andshrimpwere delicious. risotto was top shelf. we will be back on our next trip without doubt

great seafood, surprisingly poor/ slow service. we took advantage of the happy hour incredible deals and enjoyed a generous serving of firecrackershrimpand the small but excellent crab cakes plus a good seared tuna salad. we ate on the festive patio with a light crowd but must have been invisible to the wait staff. after 25 minutes, i flagged down a waitress who took our order but provided very slow service. look forward to excellent food and below par service on the patio.

we will be back!. firecrackershrimpwere excellent, huge portion and very reasonable. i had the grilledshrimpand my husband had the banana leaf wrapped catch of the day, unbelievable ! the side salad was just the right size, and rachel, our server ( who was professional and very knowledgeable about all menu items as well as cocktail recommendations) added fresh blue cheese that really topped it off. the managers were by to check on us or to take an empty plate away. we were very impressed with the food and the service.

we were looking for the perfect last meal to wrap up our vacation- wow! wonderful food! i highly recommend the grilledshrimpwith risotto! friendly staff. we will be back!

horrendous service, great food.. the restaurant is highly organized, and the service was incredibly slow. with that said, the food options were really great, and most people in our party left satisfied. the bang bangshrimp(cosmo's shrimp) is an incredible appetizer, and can be seen throughout the entire area in other restaurants. the sushi however, was horrendous. i am an avid sushi eater and the fish was not fresh and off-color.
with all of that said, the restaurant is one of the best in the area, and a pretty good place for groups to go to fulfill different taste-buds and desires.

i went there on april 21, with my family of six including 4 kids .
good customer service , greatshrimpappetizer and well cooked blackened grouper fish .
nice open and indoor sitting area , we opted for outside and despite monday , it was full and we have to wait for almost half hour,,which was worth waiting.
i will definately go there on my next visits .
