huge portions. my sandwich weighed a ton, but was drowning in hummus. if your sandwich has hummus, i would definitely ask for light or on the side.

terrible service. ok food ..service was awful...went in twice trying to give threm a chance to redeem themselves..food was ok but servers seem to b bothered by their customers ...i know it's not burger king "have it your way" however am i paying for a night out where i am being "served" or am i paying for someone to come up to the table take the order with an attitude put my food down and never return except with a smile when it's time for me to pay the bill (and now u want or expect 20 % +) i think not .... i am looking for a nice place where servers have smiles and food comes out the way u order it and nothing more and nothing less.....

...we stopped in at cosimo's trattoria, for what is becoming something of a weekly ritual - a quick dinner at the bar comprised of a salad, a pizza, and a glass (or two) of pinot grigio. the restaurant is located just off of route 9 across from marist college, and as you might expect it draws on the campus crowd.  this can make for interesting conversation at the bar, which is where we usually end up eating. the place does offer a full lunch / dinner menu of what they bill as "tuscan" specialties - dishes like veal scallopine, or a rosemary scented ribeye steak, and a half dozen pasta choices including rigatoni alla buttera, and tortollini boscaiola. rarely do we go down that path.   we're there for the wood fired oven pizzas.

great thin crust pizza. cosimo's prepares a unique and really delicious thin crust pizza in a traditional open hearth oven. the dough is finished with semolina flour which results is a crunchy exterior, but still moist and chewy in the center. there is a good selection of toppings - my favorite is arugula with shrimp scampi. you can also order a half pizza with salad, which is more than enough for dinner.
