if it was only for the taste of the food, my rating would have been all 5 stars. when you step into a place such as this, there are certain expectations to be met and i was ecstatic that this branch was so close to home. having visited concu in jubilee hills, i obviously went in looking for the same kind of service, environment, and food. the decor was very very minimal and nothing at all like the one in jubilee hills, so there was a slight disappointment. nevertheless, we always go for the food and were waiting for our macaroons and veg empanadas to arrive. the fact that such delicious pastries were served on a tissue paper which was placed on a plastic tray was completely unexpected and unacceptable. the empanadas came in a serving dish and even then we were not given any plates. if i had to eat off of a tray and a tissue paper, i would have gone to a crowded mall. when asked about it with a staff member, he said for safety purposes they don’t give plates. our appetite was lost immediately. my opinion might come off as high maintenance for some but when i pay a good amount, i expect a decent dining experience. the food was incredible but we wouldn’t go back to this concu again.
