a delicious taste of france!

went tocommonbond for the first time this summer, and found myself there twice within two weeks! it can be quite crowded and difficult to find a place on the weekend, but there's no wonder why- the food and pastries are fantastic. the macarons were quite tasty and had me thinking i was in france again! i also had a croque madame that was larger than life, but also quite good. one of the pastries i had was actually quite difficult to eat though, and the crowds can be a detractor- hence the 4/5 verses 5/5

i likecommonbond. it is a very popular (read busy) bakery in montrose. really delicious food, good options available. coffee cups are too small though, that was my only complaint.

hands down the best place for a quick lunch! the patio is phenomenal and the food is amazing. i recommend the chicken torta with extra jalapeños.commonbond also has a wide selection of pastries ranging from cheesecake to macaroons that pair well with a cup of tea or a nice latte.
the entire place has a buzzing, vibrant vibe with lots of natural light pouring in from its floor to ceiling windows. very different from the surrounding locations' more grungy feel. my only complain is the lack of proper wifi in the restaurant. as someone who's constantly online, it's a must have andcommonbond, like many surrounding joints, suffers from spotty access.

overall, definitely a must for anyone in the montrose area! i even hear they will start opening mondays soon!!

love the bakery atcommonbond - they make everything in house and it is delicious!  has it's own parking lot which is unique for montrose, but it's so busy that you still may have troubles.  the salted caramel macaroon is my absolute favorite, the lavender flavor is good as well!  the croissant is bigger than your head.  went here for a lunch meeting and didn't realize it was a fast casual restaurant, but food was still good.  the grilled cheese is so thick that it's bigger than your head but so good!  and the homemade potato chips i could bathe in!

common bond café is one of the best eateries i have been to in houston. the food is fresh and delicious. i have never really had the menu items here. i usually find myself craving for some good croissant or a really nice dessert, i come tocommonbond. the chefs put in a lot of effort to produce consistent looking and tasting desserts. their selection varies from time to time. the seasonal specials like pumpkin cheesecake are quite amazing as well. but my personal favorite is the chocolate chip cookie. it is warm, butter, chocolaty and heavenly. the baristas here also make some really good cappuccinos, flat whites and cortados and ristrettos. if you love this kind of food, be sure to try this place. the only down side is, they close too early!

common bond — i heard my sister talked about it over and over, and we intended to visit on monday but they were not opened. tuesday it was! an awesome pastry place with simple, modern and elegant décor;commonbond served pastries and hot breakfasts, desserts and lunch from their store, along with excellent coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. the minute we walked into the store, the pleasant buttery sweet pastry smell surrounded us immediately. all the items were neatly lined up...

one of the best 'triple flat whites' i've ever had.the wait time is interesting but their brunch rendition if thecommontorts was surprising, fresh and with bold flavors. loved it. i'll be back... and even deal with the uptight crowd... ironic, because it's about 'thecommonbond'. the staff is knowledgeable, has great pride in their product and it's crafting. best baristas on sunday!

houston has been in need of a beautiful bakery for quite some time now, at least in my opinion. so whencommonbond finally opened a few weeks ago, we didn’t wait for an invite! on this corner in houston there used to be an old historic house which housed an antique store. when the store burnt down over a year ago we wondered what would take its place and not surprisingly a very modern looking building popped up.

we decided to treat our taste buds to some delicious pastries atcommonbond on dunlavy and westheimer.commonbond opened a few months ago and a friend of mine had me taste one of their baguettes and i knew it was a special place right away. actually, i love everything aboutcommonbond, the sleek modern decor, the beautiful hats and denim aprons of the staff, the bright windows and obviously the mouth-watering texas-size pastries! their macaroons are beautifully colored and are the perfect finish to a nice lunch. even their to-go boxes are beautiful. they have small tables, a big one and lots of counter seats. their bathroom is clean and in the same sleek design. they obviously

pâtisserie meets bay area-style bakery in montrose’scommonbond, which is not, as i initially thought, some sort of dentist collective. the brainchild of superstar chef roy shvartzapel of famed elbulli restaurant, this very recently opened sweet confections and savory comestibles shop and café brings new life to a part of westheimer thus far dominated by garish antique shops.
