citrus breakfast & lunch

there usually is a bit of a wait, but the bar makes the wait very pleasant, the peach ballini mimosa was perfect! the breakfast was well worth the wait and the staff was super friendly.

review. have been meeting friends there for lunch for several months. love the place, good food, fair prices and a great staff.

not consistent. i have eaten there many times and have finally given up! won't eat there again. too inconsistent. the prices are over the top and the drinks are over the top. too expensive, especially when breakfast is the cheapest thing to make and the most money making.. give us a break people!!!!!

1st visit, 9 am on a sunday morning and the placed is packed but i'm able to get a seat at the bar rot away. ordered placed within 5 minutes and served within another 5 minutes. good breakfast, great service and nothing but locals...a nice chane from my usual oceanfront routine. i will definitely be back to citrus.

i love this place :) yes, there are lines and you have to wait but there's a reason for it! and yes, you may pay more for the food but it's because it's just that good! so just go to the bar, get a good drink, and sit back, relax, and enjoy your company while you wait for your table. you're gonna be glad you did!

so so won't go back. i was visitng friends in the area and they suggested we try citrus for breakfast after having seen it on diners, drive-ins and dives. even though they have lived in the area for past 10 years, this was their first time as well. it was also our last. the wait was horrifically long, the service seemed rushed, and the food was tepid at best. we very politely complained to our waitress. she was nice, but then the owner from hell (wife part of husband/ wife team) came over and berated us for taking too long to eat our food and basically blaming us for the cold food. after paying $9 for a bloody mary, i wanted to relax while drinking it, not be rushed through life a fast food take out place. there isn't much good to say about the place. on previous visits to the area i loved doc taylors and mary's. shore drive really needs another place to knock this one from the list of places go for breakfast.

i really try to like it...but just can't.
it is a cute restaurant in a great location but that is the only nice thing i can say about this place. i have been at least a half dozen times and there is always an issue.
the most important thing is the food, and that is just ok. it's your basic bacon and eggs, but the toast is never toasted! the other issue i have is nothing seems to be homemade, not the biscuits or grits or even the hollandsise that they skimp on.
the service is ok... i understand they are usually busy, but waiting 30 min to place your order after waiting 30 min for a table is unacceptable. the servers always seems to be rushing you... asking to remove plates while you are still eating and bringing the check halfway through your meal.
its just not the place for me.

$40 breakfast.... if you don't mind waiting over 1hr for a mediocre, overpriced meal - this is your place. we waited outside for 45 min for a table and another 45 min for our food to arrive. really - for eggs? husband had crab benedict and i had beach benedict. not a generous portion to say the least. looked thrown together and the bland taste confirmed that not much love goes into this food. leave this place for the tourists - go somewhere else.

could not find a parking spot. wanted to try this spot away from the beach.....but when we arrived, approximately 9:30am.......lot was full; side street was full; and lot next door was full. we had to leave and find somewhere else to eat.....very disappointed.

food is great! but the wait is long, the locals love this place. be prepared to pay for drinks, $9 dollars for a bloody mary with out a friendly pour! !!!

best brunch. we had a little wait, no big deal the fresco bar is quick and the mimosa's are tall!!! delish food and huge portions. reasonable prices.... we had the lynnhaven breakfast. 2 eggs anyway choice of bacon or sausage, (2 ways) hash browns or grits,and pancackes or french toast. the pancakes were so big, the came on their own plate. bright sunny place, staff very attentive... can't wait to go back!!! patie

the seafood omelet is to die for! be prepared to wait, but all the more reason to drink a citrus mimosa (or three!)

don't believe the hype. waited over an hour for a table. went to the bar and paid $18 for two bloody mary's. when we were seated the menu showed bloody mary's for $5. questioned it; but never got an answer. our food would have been fantastic if it was not ice cold.
