kids won't go hungry. my european husband and i visited cisco's during a trip to visit austin, before we knew we would live here. the two things that stick out in my mind are how friendly the family-staff were, and how much food the children at the table next to us ingested. the kids were all easily under 8, each polished off a whole meal, and after paying, filled the rest of the tortillas and the buns on the table with mustard and ketchup, and then polished those off too.
but what should really mean something is the food. the service was very friendly, and the food was excellent. simple, real ingredients and hot when served. we had the migas and the quantity was just right. not too much, nor too little.
my favorite part about cisco's is how the back room looks somewhat like an old western jail cell, and how long it has survived as a family run establishment.
