good food, bad service. the food is awesome. love cooking it and they marinate the meat just right. the thing is this. i loved the food but theservicecould use a bit of improvement. if you are white or anything other than korean, don't expect any good service.
i have been here twice. once with a korean friend (that introduced me and my wife to this place) and once without. i brought my wife and her girlfriend who came to town for a visit (neither are korean). we wanted to show our friend a good time and expected the sameservicewe got the first time here. we were floored at how bad theservicewas. we got here first and they asked what we would like. we told them. after that, a bunch of groups came in (dinner rush), one being another white group, the rest were koreans. they went and greeted all their new customers as expected. then they serviced them and gave them all their food before we got ours. now, considering that they only need to bring us the raw meet because we cook it ourselves (very cool), we should get our meal first and those that ordered the same thing amongst those other groups, should get theirs second. we got ours very last.
it wasn't until they took care of all the korean people that we finally got served. what's more, i asked for a coke and so did our friend. i had to ask twice. then i got up and grabbed the cokes from the fridge myself and sat down. then she brought us the cokes asked for about the time we had finished our cokes that we had to get ourselves. during this time, it is good to note i watched the other white table getting their own coke too and they did not look very happy to do so. it made us feel a little better that we were not alone. lol also, it would be good to note that when i went the first time, with our friend (that was korean and spoke korean) theirserviceand food together would have given them 5 stars. especially for the price paid. also would be good to note that the first time was during the lunch rush which was more busy than this time.
point being this, food was great. actually the food would get them 4 stars if they gave me crappy service. they didn't give me anyserviceand that is why i give them two stars. none of those stars areservicejust that there food was awesome. if their food was average, i would reluctantly give them 1 star and only because i couldn't give them 0 stars for service. if you want goodservicehere, make sure it is because your korean friend brought you here (theservicewill be very good). otherwise, expect to be invisible to them
