chouquette patisserie & café

this little cafe reminds me of the ones in laneways in paris. baguettes are simple and delicious, pastries include youralmondand chocolate croissants. the staff were also very attentive and friendly!

it has been over seven months since my last visit during lock down period.
it was good that i could dine in couple of days ago and it should be my first time to have that facility here.
ordered analmondcroissant to go with my flat white. croissant was prepared behind the counter by the friendly staff after i paid the bill.
the croissant looked great with heaps ofalmondon the top. texture was good with crispy hard exterior and sidealmondcream inside. coffee kept its consistency . of course, it was accompanied with a litter treat that reflected how passionated is this french bakery store👍😋👍

been to the new farm spot twice and the two experiences couldn’t be more different. the first time i went with a friend and we had a really good time dining there. the flan was creamy and sweet but not overpowering. thealmondcroissant was filled with rich and stickyalmondmeal custard which was quite nice. however, the second time around, i went with my partner and the chick who served us was straight up rude and dismissive. she seemed to be quite unhappy working there. when we walked, no acknowledgement was given and we had to wait for someone to come to us. and when we were finally sitting down and our food was being brought out to us, the same lady just came and literally just walked away after putting the plates down on the table without saying anything after i personally said thank you. that felt a bit rough. who would have thought only one bad experience would ruin your impression with a place. anyway, now i have to think if it’s worth going if their customer service is like that.

came in on saturday morning, the place was rather busy yet the service was exceptional; staff were friendly and welcoming. well-lighted store with various vintage photos on the wall and france flag all around the store gives off the comfortable vibe to dine in.

ordered thealmondcroissant, which was flaky and buttery, along with the nice smell. also ordered one of the cakes, which tasted amazing. the berries combined with the cream created a refreshing taste, along with the balanced sweetness. it was also presented beautifully.

would come back in the future to try out some other pastries and cakes!

had some really delicious pastries here! we had the pig cake which was berry flavoured, millefeuille andalmondcroissant. service was good too!

i came here this mornimg after my friend's recommendation. i bought the chausson aux pommes also a cup of mocha. hands down that's the best apple turnover i've ever had. it's buttery, it's flaky, and the harmony of the apple compote is perfect, not too sour not too sweet. it made me sad when i almost finished the chausson because it's so good i didn't want it to end.
the soy mocha also very nice. the coffee was smooth with perfect balance of choco flavor. and i really appreciate that they didn't oversteamed the soy milk into lumps like many cafes do.

i ended up buying some take-aways: another chausson aux pommes, gougeres,almondtuille, and croissant aux amandes. i've tasted them all and they all taste amazing it made me having a good mpod all day long. i can't recommend this place enough! definitely will be back with more friends.

delicious authentic french pastries. pain au chocolat andalmondcroissants are heaven. there are scattered seats inside but the best spot is under the outside canopy. if you're a big coffee head like me, get one of the bowls!

friendly service, i felt like i had stepped in from a little french alleyway to this bakery. all the cakes looked scrumptious but we ultimately decided to get analmondcroissant and mille fuielle since we were quite full from lunch. prices were inexpensive and both were so delicious, albiet the croissant was a little oily! currently on the hunt for the bestalmondcroissant in brisbane and this one is up the top with dello mano. can't wait to go back to try the savoury baguettes, the turnover and other pastry goodies!!!

been here a couple of times in the past but recently had the pleasure of re-visiting chouquette for sunday breakfast with friends. queues at chouquette waxes and wanes over the morning - don't expect a table once you arrive, and get ready to grab a table once someone leaves.
we got a latte,almondcroissant, pain au chocolate, wholemeal sourdough and goats cheese tart (not all at once of course, got a goody bag to take home). highly recommend each and every one. the pastries were deliciously flaky with flavourful fillings. the savoury tart was yummy, not too salty at all.
chouquette continues to be one of the frontrunners in brisbane's french bakeries! will definitely be back.

what a great parisienne experience i enjoyed this morning. upon entering the interior i was mesmerized by the array of stunning delights. a real french journey for me- took me back to those back lanes of paris. of course i didn't know which delight to choose so i opted for thealmondcroissant which looked amazingly delicate with crunchy edges. the coffee was merlo & made very well with a beautiful presentation & flavor (as is usually the case with merlo) the croissant was dense withalmondfilling & the pastry was fluffy & light, loved it

we had high expectations for chouquette patisserie - thealmondcroissant met and exceeded those expectations!

thealmondcroissant was flaky and buttery, the filling was rich and flavourful, but still light - just how le bon choix used to be. the croissant rated a 4.5.

the traditional sourdough baguette was great - 4.

the mini brioche was above average - 3.5.

the iced latte was a little bitter (3) and the palmier heart was quite dry and lacking any sweetness (2.5).

would return for thealmondcroissant and baguette in a heartbeat!

finally a nice place to have a french and italian style breakfast withalmondcroissant and cappuccino. the hazelnut croissant is also good. i have to try the cake. a sunday morning ritual

great coffee.. their cakes are so lovely.. i bought a chocolate hazelnut cake.. omg it is so gooood! hadalmondcrossiant and a cup of flat white.. thealmondcrossiant is so good.. everything is perfect.. i will go back there for sure!

love this place. bestalmondcroissants in brisbane! chouquette never fails me. everything is just delicious. the mushroom croissant is so good, the filling is creamy and rich with mushroom flavour.
ordered the individual cakes before also and they are divine.
coffee service can be slow but coffee is smooth and not bitter.

my husband and i visited chouquette patisserie for morning tea and thought it was absolutely delicious!! we had analmondcroissant and a chocolate and caramel slice- yum!!! we will be back!
