i love love this cute little place. the cakes and shakes are always able to put me in the best mood. the staff is friendly and the place is clean and welcoming. the cake menu changes everyday and it never disappoints. this is always my first choice for something jolly to eat. definitely recommend 😊😊

a gem of a place for afternoon dessert. quaintly nestled in a european style setting. coffee is exquisite. the belgian waffles extremely yummy too.

this is such a great place for all dessert connoisseurs and chocaholics. their baked goodies are so amazing. it's like you are basically eating a slice of heaven. i would definitely recommend anything on the menu and anything in the chocolate case. the problem is that the place is very small and it's not conducive for rainy weather. they do have an upstairs area though but it's rather small and it echoes. i think it can accommodate about 15 people or less at a time. otherwise the place is hella great.

we intended on visiting a nearby restaurant which was closed 😥 so we stumbled upon chocolat et café and i found it absolutely adorable. between my hunger, the scrumptious look of the cakes and the smell of bacon cooking, i was sold and had to sit down. breakfast averaged at r90 and a slice of cake at r55. the service was lovely and friendly. i will definitely bring friends to this cozy location.

i had such an azing experience at this place. the food was excellent and the setting was so intimate i felt like i was in an old friend's living room. service is a but slow presumably because of the setup but this can be forgiven considering the great food.

chocolate et café always has something amazing to serve.
the hot chocolate is a must. the food is served beautifully and just as yummy as it looks.
i love taking my friends there for their birthdays!

this place has now become my usual go to! well atleast whenever i have money. the cakes are popping with melt in your mouth flavour. they have just the right cake to icing ratio and the spounge is deliciously moist. their brownies are massive and quality. one of the top brownies i've ever had. nothing preps you for another cake bite quite like their bean to cup coffees. the staff is very friendly and always helpful especially if you can't decide what you want, they know the product well. the atmosphere is just magic with a undertone of pastel colours and secluded from the buzz of roads and foot traffic. will definitely recommend this place

went there on a sunday with a few friends as a spur of the moment outing after seeing the great reviews. the service is really really good. the staff are friendly and attentive and know the menu very well. we had a few savoury dishes and it was too salty for all of us. we then ordered a chocolate croissant which was r65...a little excessive for a croissant which was spread with chocolate spread and served with a blob of cream. they serve bean there coffee for people who enjoy beans from there. we're not exactly fans of bean there so we found the coffee average.
it would be nice that the prices of the cakes and treats are clearly marked so you can order according to your budget and not get a shock when the bill is presented.

perfect for light lunches. creative and tasty meals. lovely open air seating in a quiet, relaxing environment. coffee/cappuccino/latte in a cone is a must have. amazing variety of cakes available. recommend the black forest cake!

if you like chocolate, you should stop by chocolat et café. this little café is located in the popular village at hazelwood in pretoria. blue tables and chairs under umbrellas, a chocolate selection and freshly baked cakes await you here. the coffee is good, and, they have cappuccinos in chocolate coated sugar cones, a must have! if it is chocolate, cake and coffee you are after, you won't be disappointed. the rest of the menu is okay, not a lot of vegetarian options, and maybe a bit expensive for what you get.

chocolate et café can be found in the heart of the new hazelwood village. it's a petite, small and quaint little place between culture club bar de tapas & alfies. their turquoise haven offers a huge variety of baked treats, cakes, tartlets and off course chocolate, truffles and lots of it. their menu is seasonal and offer you basic but gorgeous eats. their confectionery is huge and you sure get more than you pay for. visit them and expect to be amazed. go! now!stefan schrage stefan schrage
