it is official... i have found my new favourite restaurant to date! i had been wanting to try chester white out for quite some time now, but it wasn't until last friday night i ended up in potts point on a little dinner adventure that resulted in me finally being able to try out this little gem!
upon arrival we were greeted by the owner of the restaurant (service was an 11/10!!) who seated us out the front but explained we would be moved inside shortly. there was the perfect amount of time between us arriving, looking at the menu, ordering, drinks and having our food come out. the owner explained the different wines and made recommendations based on our preferences and it is safe to say that all of his recommendations were amazing!
when it came to the entree's, we ordered the cured platter with the capacollo prosciutto (from the shoulder blade) and the morcon salami (classic spanish salami with chilli, garlic, paprika, rum, nutmeg and more!). honestly the best prosciuttio i have ever come across! the meats were shaved to perfection and the cheeses, olives and pickles served with them complimented them perfectly too. for our mains we ordered the ricotta ghnocchi (hand rolled and made in house with basil and hazelnut pesto) and the truffled cacio e pepe (spaghetti, salt and pepper, parsley, black truffles, served out of a sardinian truffled pecorino cheese wheel). normally i am not a fan of ghnocchi at all but i would legitimately come back here to get this particular dish. it melted in my mouth and the flavour of the pesto was so incredibly fresh that i was in heaven! thetrufflecacio e pepe was divine also! so fresh, so tasy and it was something i could not fault! overall, the music, service, atmosphere, and ofcourse the food was all incredible and i would recommend them in a heartbeat!
