i used to eat here quite often and ordered the king of the philly. i thought it was a great sandwich with the perfect proportion of meat for something that had such a lofty name. i never eat here without my wife, and she usually got a large cheese steak with spinach; the king of the philly was too much for her.
well, i guess since they changed owners, a fast one was pulled. my wife and i got the same thing as we usually do, but noticed the my sandwich was the same size as hers. i chalked it up as a mistake. today, the second time around, the same thing happened. my wife asked the cashier why the sandwiches appeared to be the same size; wasn't the king of the philly supposed to be bigger? the cashier wasprettydefensive and said no. she said my wife's sandwich "appears" to be bigger because it had spinach and mushrooms in it (philly joe's sandwich). there was aprettybig line, so she backed off.
i wasprettypissed off because i felt like we were getting ripped off. turns out, the "king" weighs just a tad bit less, if not, exactly the same as a sandwich that's a large (in this case, the philly joe's). you can see the picture i post.
you're literally paying more for the same amount of food. seriously, look at the king of the philly photos from like 10 months ago (on yelp). i'm really passionate about this.
anyways, lost a customer.
