visited media rotanas channels for theirasiantheme night! weren't disappointed at all! i enjoyed the buffet dinner so much i hardly had time to take proper images! (the husband as usual took no responsibility of taking any pictures cuz he waz too busy eating all that sushi, lamb roast, and fish tempuras-i think he almost made a century lol). i enjoyed the roasted duck and the biryani!
the prawn biryani was ahmaazing! lots of prawn and was perfect in spices (i love spicy biryani-thats how it should be) sushi spread was good(again the spicy sushi was love)
i didnt waste a lot of energy trying on salads (i wanted to have more dessert lol) but i did try the kimchi and mix sea food salad!
the desserts omg! i was craving for a good gajar halwa and it had it! i wish it were a lill more hot (i like hot gajar halwa with lots of khoya on top) but it was good! there was gulab jamun, rasgulla and jalebi! yaass!(husband almost had a heart attack watching me eat all that 😉) bliss! definitely would recommend it! we sat in a corner place (we were on a romantic dinner kinda mood lol-not) so the pictures came out bleh!

great food, great ambience, great service, great price! i can't recommend more. we went for the thursday evening'sasianthemed buffet. beingasianmyself, i'm very impressed with the array of dishes served. quality wise too! i was expecting just a small range ofasianfood at one corner, followed by the international dishes like pasta, lamb rack, pizza, roast chicken etc but boy oh boy was i surprised. there were singapore chilli crab, curry laksa, peking duck, dim sum, thai red curry, seafood tempura, fresh sashimi and sushi. loved the huge assortment of salad - aside from the usual fare, there were gado-gado, kimchi, spicy vermicelli salad, and even sesame leaves! for the dessert, there was a great selection ofasianand western dessert. theasiandessert could do with some improvements especially the kuih ketayap (tasted funny with cinnamon & ginger in it), black sesame (too dry), mango sticky rice (too dry) and tab tim krob (tasted wrong). other than that, they were wonderful! i like the chocolate cake. the manager was very attentive too, coming to check on us twice and efficiently attended to our requests.

at 185dhs per person, it comes with juices, soft drinks and coffee/tea. if you use the entertainer voucher, that's half the price. real value for money for such quality and exciting spread. will definitely be back!

this used to be a favourite of mine but i feel the hotel is struggling generally. they seem to be cutting the quality of offerings. on thursday for example theasiantheme buffet offered chang beer etc which is in keeping with the theme, but now only budweiser and fosters, i mean who actually buys that? i wonder what else is being sacrificed. it's a similar tale throughout the other restaurants there, prices have gone up but not the quality.

we had gone for theirasiannights that happens every wednesday. and i was just amazed at the variety they had to offer . from my favorite variety of sushi to thai curries, it was all delicious. and what fascinated us was the super drooling variety of desserts. from their freshly baked cakes to chocolate fountain with marshmallows to so much more.
and most of all what we loved was the service. all their staffs take care of every guest and make sure they are happy and experience satisfaction towards the end of your meal.
i would highly recommend this place to everyone to have an exhilarating experience themselves.

we have been to channels a few times as we love their brunch. their brunch option includes soft drinks and coffee, and coffee options are pretty reasonable. we think that makes them unique as many places tend to charge extra for drinks.

their dishes are pretty variant , they either haveasianfocus or arabian focus. you will always find both the cuisines equally represented but the variance might be between an array of dumplings instead of an array of cold mezze.

their rockstars of their brunch options are the salmon+spinach pie, their cajun roasted beef is done well too. we love their pomegranate flavour sujuk, their sushi selection is fresh and awesome. we have tried their stuffed squid and other seafood options which are mostly in thai and malay flavours and tend to be fresh and tasty. their hidden options are of lobster which you can order if you don't see it. all in all their savoury selection is pretty awesome.

in sweets they tend to have a chocolate fountain , fresh ice cream, umme ali which are all very good. their pastry selection is varied and pretty tasty.

their staff is helpful, the place is small and cozy and the food/experience are worthy of the cost.

we went for theasiannight, and it turned out to be a great experience. i usually skip the salads because they're just not my thing however i tried them and they were remarkably great. moreover, the main dishes were alright with a good variety of dishes, and the fried seafood was actually pretty good. furthermore, the highlight of the evening was the sushi as it was unbelievably amazing (the best i've tried), and this was a shocker as i am very picky with my sushi. lastly, the dessert was really good with the highlights being the cheesecake, the chocolate pudding with brownies and the mud cake. all in all, it was a greatasiannight experience for 195 dirhams.

went for the thursdayasianbuffet at channels. decent variety however felt it was a tad overpriced when you consider the number of dishes on offer ! overall a one time visit is good enough!
