last week i saw this restaurant while passing through ajman. the display board caught my attention, i quickly searched on google about this place. photos of the ambience and reviews were 4star. so i went to try the food with my egyptian colleagues. but i got disappointed many times from entry to exit.
as we entered into the restaurant, we came to know that there are two sitting arrangements, we liked the sofa seating, but they apologized as it was for sheesha smoking zone only. in fact there is no logic to stop if customer has no objection to sit in the smoking zone.
anyhow, there was no light on at all in the whole restaurant, maybe they were celebrating the energy saving day, no music, t.v screens off. i felt like shamed to be there.
anyhow we ordered bite size chapli kabab, beef seekh kabab, malai boti, green chicken karahi, and chicken jakfarezi.
bite size kabab concept is good, but those were full of red chili. i never ate such over spiced chapli kabab ever, it burnt the whole way it passed through. same was the case with seekh kabab as well. they made both from same prepared raw material, which is technically wrong. chef tried to fool a foodie like me but failed to do so.
green chicken karahi was another example of their disaster. it had no taste, too much gravy, and of grinded onion paste only.
the only thing which was up to my taste, is chicken jalfarezi. and 3 of us like it. malai boti was also good. but again, chef used spice mix coating on them same as chapli and seekh kabab.
prices are higher for desserts, side orders, starters, drinks etc.
staff was not friendly at all. seems we were at a food charity kiosk for getting free food.
i will never ever visit this place again and will warn my friends not to even try going this restaurant. worst experience, waste of money and time.
