let me introduce you to a hidden gem of authentic pakistani cuisine restaurant which is located in ajman opposite thumbay hospital ajman. it was also newly opened a few months back by the name of chai shai @chaishai.ae with front-end parking.

the theme of this restaurant reminds me of my city karachi, because of the decoration, wall art, food, music, quotes on the walls, table napkins, cushions, and even the cutlery presenting truck art of pakistan which is the beauty of pakistan. their ambiance was amazingly traditional and worth capturing.

besides that, at this meetup, they have also invited pakistani uae biker boys who also represent their bike and uniform with the truck art design and making our country proud.

good food is the foundation of happiness, so let me elaborate on their food. their all-served food was freshly prepared, lip-smacking, and outstandingly delicious besides that the way they have served us kept the food warm till we completed the photo session.

𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗛𝗔𝗦 𝗕𝗘𝗘𝗡 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗘𝗗:
𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦
🔸samosa twist
🔸pakoray shakoray

𝗠𝗔𝗜𝗡 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗦𝗘
🔸mutton karahi with garlic naan -
🔸mixed grill platters
🔸chicken biryani
🔸daal chawal & fries
🔸palak paneer

𝗗𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗧 & 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗞𝗦
🔸shakes/soft drinks
🔸chai shai special chai
🔸chai shai special kheer

besides mouth-watering food and tea, they also serve shisha with amazing and new flavors and for this activity, they have a separate area which is next to their main dining area, and to maintain the family environment they have made a dividing section so their nonsmoker's customers won’t be bothered.

highly recommended but i would like to say that you don’t need to be pakistani to try out this place as the best part of this place that veg/non-veg both can have their food in (breakfast/lunch/dinner) or you can try out as a cafe with a tea, shisha and sports channel on their screens.

thank you @chaishai.ae for such amazing hospitality and for having me over.

great place for good food and sheesha. the place is divided into two sections where one section sheesha is served and other one without sheesha only for food. this place is a hidden gem in ajman with excellent ambiance and service. the sheesha flavour a served are all excellent. the best part of this restaurant we observed was the pricing is very reasonable. even the food was commendable. recommended 👍🏻. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

last week i saw this restaurant while passing through ajman. the display board caught my attention, i quickly searched on google about this place. photos of the ambience and reviews were 4star. so i went to try the food with my egyptian colleagues. but i got disappointed many times from entry to exit.
as we entered into the restaurant, we came to know that there are two sitting arrangements, we liked the sofa seating, but they apologized as it was for sheesha smoking zone only. in fact there is no logic to stop if customer has no objection to sit in the smoking zone.
anyhow, there was no light on at all in the whole restaurant, maybe they were celebrating the energy saving day, no music, t.v screens off. i felt like shamed to be there.
anyhow we ordered bite size chapli kabab, beef seekh kabab, malai boti, green chicken karahi, and chicken jakfarezi.
bite size kabab concept is good, but those were full of red chili. i never ate such over spiced chapli kabab ever, it burnt the whole way it passed through. same was the case with seekh kabab as well. they made both from same prepared raw material, which is technically wrong. chef tried to fool a foodie like me but failed to do so.
green chicken karahi was another example of their disaster. it had no taste, too much gravy, and of grinded onion paste only.
the only thing which was up to my taste, is chicken jalfarezi. and 3 of us like it. malai boti was also good. but again, chef used spice mix coating on them same as chapli and seekh kabab.
prices are higher for desserts, side orders, starters, drinks etc.
staff was not friendly at all. seems we were at a food charity kiosk for getting free food.
i will never ever visit this place again and will warn my friends not to even try going this restaurant. worst experience, waste of money and time.

update
2nd visit: went there for dinner with the family. ordered mutton karhai, chicken biryani and their lava-daal shashkay (daal chawal). the food was really delicious. the taste and the spices were on point and the tandoori rotis were perfect. this time, the chai was perfectly done. can’t wait to go back and try some of their other items.

this place will give you all kinds of pakistan feels. the truck art inspired decor is beautifully done!! they have a separate section for dining and a separate section for shisha.

1st visit: we went post-dinner for shisha and chai. the shisha was good but the chai was a bit of a let down. it wasn’t as good as people were raving about it, but i’m guessing because of the eid rush, they could be busy. the chai is served in a cute little kettle.

will definitely go back and try the food and the chai again.

if you’re a desi like me, then you know that desi cuisine @chaishai.ae holds a special place in our hearts. and no matter how much desi food we try out everyday, we’ll wake up the next morning looking forward to eating desi food from yet another desi restaurant.
chai shai cafe is just the exact place you have been looking for with perfect ambience which will remind u of pakistan.

serving up classic pakistani food .anda shami burger 🍔 was just amazing ( just like they do it back home in pakistan 🇵🇰) their desi chai shai special karak was so refreshing and tasty chai ☕️.

increase food quality, cook mutton well as it was smelly, barbeq was very cold. overall restaurant needs to increase taste by cooking quality food similar to lal qila, bbq tonight, kebab shop, daisy tarka etc...

was excited to see a pakistani restaurant open up with so much hype but was sadly let down with the experience.. the only good parts were the aloo & laccha parathas, meethi lassi that tasted amazing and the interiors, very lively ambiance.

now for the cons.. we went for suhour and the restaurant was completely empty on the family side except some people from management were sitting in a corner.. as one expects from a new outlet, you welcome your guests and show signs of good hospitality to retain the customers, especially as pakistan is known for hosting guests, however, a lady rudely sent a waiter to check our temperature after we were seated and didn’t bother to check up whether we enjoyed the food or even a simple ‘welcome to our restaurant’, which was off putting. most restaurants with good customer service but average food go far only by treating their customers well but this place seems to take the risk of letting their customers decide for themselves if they would like to come back after not being acknowledged, not even welcomed.

as for the food, it looked really good, but lacked taste majorly. the halwa was barely 2 spoons as seen in the picture, you would expect at least a plate or more than 2 bites for 6 dhs but this seemed like it should’ve been complimentary for its size. the chana and aloo tarkari tasted almost same, no spice or taste at all. now for the chai.. they’ve priced it at 6 dhs for an average cup of chai, not sure why but wishing them the best of luck with this strategy.

all in all, an average experience that could’ve been improved with just a smile on the manager’s face or an introduction to the restaurant especially since we were all for supporting a new business. the taste was also quite lackluster, nothing to rave about.
