their recipes amounting to years of practice and perfecting in order to get the besttasteand flavor throughout all the dishes. believing in the use of only the freshest quality ingredients, prepared with care and diligence, cooked by their well trained and experienced chefs. the food tastes mouthwateringly delicious presented with utmost perfection very beautifully.

it's not only food that stimulates your tastebuds but the atmosphere where you sit in. the styling of this café was beautiful and i literally felt being in turkey. the people who welcomed me there admired me with their hospitality too. though, i was shocked after seeing the menu as the items were overpriced with respect to the neighboring cafés, but thetastecompensated that as it was something different yet amazing. the chicken cubes were spreaders over some dish, i done what it was but tasted amazing. what i was not able to try at this place was the lamb specialities which i later enquired about.

chagh kabab in abu dhabi serves a variety of turkish kababs which are made from premium lamb meat and grilled to perfection. (chicken option also available if you prefer white meat)

for starters i ordered the mixed meze which came with a white flatbread along with fresh lemon mint juice and ayran. 🍋🍃

the mixed grill includes a bit of everything on their menu.... my favourite was undeniably the adana kabab.

next i tried out the most talked about cheese kababs and this was the highlight of my meal. it was soo flavourful and the presentation was outstanding with 4 dips alongside. i highly recommend you try this out. 🧀💕

lastly our host mr. maddy suggested we try out the alinazik kabab which consists of their super tender lamb kababs on a bed of char-grilled smoked eggplant puree mixed with yoghurt and parsley leaves. this was a bit bland intastehowever very filling and a healthy option on their menu. perfect for someone who has a mildtastepalate.

i ended my meal with the kunafa kabab and undoubtedly this was the best kunafa i have tried. this one will be my repeat order from chagh kabab. 😋😀

disappointed with the taste. it has more of indian cuisinetastethan turkish. not sure how u call this is a turkish cuisine!!!

we heard about the restaurant and went to try it out on a weekend. the place is small but well arranged with pretty interior. the servers were quick to attend and helpful. we had done our research so knew what we wanted to try. we ordered their special cheese kabab and to add more we ordered adana kabab with some sides like hummus and azmi salad. the cheese kabab was 2 pieces but was tasty, juicy and with good amount of cheese, it comes with its specials sides a little of hummus, mutabbal, baba ghanouj & muhammara. the adana kabab was good & tasty too. the salad was good with the mix of vegetables and tangy yet spicy dressing. the hummus was fine nothing different. for dessert we had the charcoal kunafa, it looked better and was presented well, however thetastewas just about ok. overall we enjoyed the meal and one thing for sure is that everything was prepared fresh even the kunafa. but its a bit pricey for the quantity served. worth a try.

completed the meals so well

turkish chai ☕️: literally had thetasteof istanbul in abu dhabhi.

everything was delicious divine. kababs were fresh grilled served with creamy hummus fresh baked khubus.

thetasteof iskender kebab is strange ..notasteof meat

my favourite was pine seed kabab made from marinated kabab mixed with fresh turkish pine seed grilled to the perfection , served with muhammara , baba ghanouj and pickles .

everything was deliciously divine , kababs were fresh grilled served with creamy hummus fresh baked khubus and tasty salad .

dessert:

kunafa was a treat , decorated with pistachio sugar syrup made it irresistible totaste.

turkish coffee was the best .

too much masala and doesn’ttastegood . worst grill chicken

we had orders for takeaway for one full grilled chicken and shish tavuq.

the shish tavuq was one of the best we have tried during our time here and the garlic dip which accompanied is truly the best.

the grilled chicken has a differenttastewith good sized fries which again with the lip smacking garlic dip is a must try.

this review is an edit of my earlier review where we had a small issue with the grilled chicken but the chef was really nice to send us a replacement .

this is a family run restaurant which one should definitely go for to try a differenttasteto the grills which they promise to deliver on every single time.

we will surely be back for more grilled chicken the best time.

have been reading a lot of reviews about this beautiful restaurant (beautiful not just for looks, ambiance, décor but also for the dedicated owner/chef and the serving staff who serve equally beautiful food that youtastewith your eyes first and enjoy with your tongue). friday visited chagh kabab and was a bit surprised to find that we were the only customers entering this restaurant around 2 pm. then the rush started after we had placed our order. mr. ahmed was there and he welcomed us personally, the staff promptly offered a tablet to check their menu. my family saw my enthusiasm and managed to restrain me from ordering everything in the menu. we ordered mix mezze, azma salad, special mix grill and adana kabab. mix mezze was decent, azma salad was a very interesting experience as it was sweet, tangy and with a nice kick of spicy hot chilly which i was not prepared for. thoroughly enjoyed it.
adana kabab was perfectly spiced, grilled, and served with white rice and hot bread. each main course was also accompanied by grilled tomato, onion, and a good portion of hummus in a very attractive pocket of the plate. special mix grill had chunks of lamb meat that were tender and chicken was soft and juicy and the marination of meat was perfect. only area of disappointment was laban ayran was not value for money. for the cost, the quantity was very small. and as always you cannot end an delicious meal without dessert and this was my introduction to kunafa kabab, the smoky twist on this favorite sweet was like meeting an old friend who had come back from some exotic adventure. mr. ahmed went out of his way to ensure my son (who is gluten intolerant) was happy and catered to. definitely going back to this restaurant with office mates this week.

the ambience of the place was amazing , food was delicious and freshly prepared and properly cooked ,tastewas proper turkish . it was totally worth the money and i feel i can go on regularly basis there it was such a good experience , staff was so good and nice and i loved the place

🍽 with flavors the likes of muhammara, babaganush, moutabel & many more, this mezze platter is a good place to start.

azma salad was fresh and perfect combination with the grills.

we tried their signature kebabs like iskandar kabab, tavuk kabab, adana kabab and almond kabab, served with a special rice portion, hummus, grilled onions, grilled pepper and a mix of chopped parsley & onions all were beautifully presented on a lovely plate. meat was cooked so well, every bite felt so good.

turkish kunafa - loved it so much, it's said it has made on charcoal how unique and mouth-watering it was 😍

turkish chai concluded our dinner and we literally had thetasteof istanbul in abu dhabi.

mr. ahmed (owner & chef) took care of us personally and i am already making my weekend plans to visit them again..

turkish cuisine is a personal fav and so excited to have found this hidden gem of a place in abudhabi.

tried the ever renowned iskander kebab, cheese kebab, bortukal ( orange) kabab with mezze platter, azma salad and ayran. mind blown or what! fabulous presentation and awesomely flavorful food. fresh, rightly flavored and cooked kababs and the iskander was perfectly tangy served with creamy turkish bread and soaked in tomato sauce. perfect!

the cheese kebab is a delight! gooey cheese pull from a kabab! imagine that! absolutely delicious.

the orange kabab is one of a kind. orange flavored rice served with juicy kababs. the rice had thetasteof the citrusy orange adding so much of flavor burst in the mouth!

the dips and azma salad were delicious too. azma salad is more on the spicy tangy side and we loved it.

another highlight of the place is the kunafa! kunafa served as kababs! crispy kunafa outer dough so perfectly baked with cheese adding the pull,tasteand gooey magic to the kunafa.

seating is beautifully turkish with beautiful turkish background music playing, amazing staff and a wonderful chef mr ahmed so delightfully and warmly welcoming the guests. definitely staying as one of my fav turkish eatery in abudhabi.

me and my friend visited this place few days back. we just loved this place.. we had adane kabab and kunafa... thetastewas mind blowing. this is one restaurant where your heart and stomach gets filled. mr. ahmeds and his teams hospitality is something commandable. he is very friendly and really took very good care of us. highly reccomended.
