c'est bon!. went here with a large party (11) on a saturday night. we called around 4:30 to push our reso back and hour and they said it was fine. when we got there almost every table, couch and surface had a reserved sign but there were maybe 15 occupied tables total...

we had 3 small kids and they amused themselves on the couches. our server was awesome! he was really helpful and accommodating. never easy to serve a large party...

i personally didn't enjoy my dinner (vegetable roti) but everyone else liked theirs!

great. good prices (for the area), great selection. went there for a tasting, and i can't say enough about it. really really affordable samples ($1!!!) of the taps and some special casks.

on the inside, c’est what is not french in the slightest, despite the name, and is very multicultural. the menu has one of the largest ranges of cuisines i’ve ever seen in a bar, and food to satisfy the hungriest of carnivores and the pickiest of vegans.

c'est miserable. good beer for sure (but so does the biermarkt around the corner). food is ok at best but overpriced, atmosphere is cozy in the winter and depressing in the summer, service is miserable (especially the old guy with the dreads and red beard - i used to work near there and had him serve me many times - always horribly rude!! it's pretty unbelievable how miserable there staff is)

this place is huge. due to its size, there were quite a number of customers and therefore getting a waitress to take the order took some time. the beer selection is very good.

it's really a place to come get drunk with friends, however, if you happen to be hungry at the same time, the food selection ain't bad. the lamb burger is one of my favorites.

cosy downstairs pub with exposed rock walls. excellent selection of microbrewery beer including their own. food never disappoints. i've been coming here for 20+ years and will keep coming back.

amazing beer selection, local brews, casks, great live music. not the biggest fan of the food here though, wasn't bad just mediocre, but i don't think that's why people would go here.

with all the burger hype in the city, i thought i should jump on the bandwagon. been hearing a lot of good things about c'est what, so off i went. takes a lot of convincing to eat somewhere with good beer. ;) . located in a lower level on front st, it was about a 10min walk from union. it's open concept, so it doesn't feel like you're in a basement. the staff are warm and welcoming. we were seated and headed for the beer menu(it is a good one!). it seemed like many patrons had also come here for a beer after a long day! seemed like the right thing to do. i don't see mcauslan's apricot wheat on many menus, so that sealed the deal. my friend is a hoppier beer drinker and tried the big butt smoked dark ale and the chocolate ale. i tasted both. the smoked ale tasted like beer and bacon.... it was interesting! i'm a chocolate gal, but i don't feel the chocolate flavour came through as strong as it should have. many other beers on the menu i'd like to try!

what an awesome spot! i really enjoyed my tandoori chicken sandwich - juicy, generous, flavoursome and downright delicious! huge array of craft beer available and even a decent whisky selection. service was efficient and friendly. the restaurant has a cool interior, with fireplaces, pool tables, a bar area and also games available to play! pool table costs 15 dollars an hour and is pro-rated. really fun spot to go have a bite to eat, grab a few drinks and, of course, play!

really enjoyed this place but would suggest you to go there only for the drinks. the beer that i had was absolutely brilliant. the food we ordered was good but nothing great. we ordered appetisers. the beer cheese pot was not what we were expecting. the portion also quite less for an appetiser. we also ordered the fries with the jalapeño dip which was delicious. overall decent place for a drink.
