cecconi's - soho beach house

first and foremost, plan a late evening dinner here, you want to see the contrast between the stars and the white lights wrapped around the sprouting trees and veranda. the atmosphere is dolce. a great wine list, and a full bar as you wait, because the food is not fast serve and expect a little slower service. but the waiters are knowledgeable and can recommend a killer full course on your behalf. my only qualm was there is perhaps a little too much simplicity to their chicken dish, which was just chicken and broccoli, no pizazz, while many other dishes' complexities were just well hidden in the dish. the dessert should be the hazelnut ice cream stuffed donuts, let the waiter pour the chocolate syrup and feel your mouth water. a great experience, for a lasting memory, and a pleasant date night.

absolutely recommend having brunch here - it’s a buffet for $65 with a mimosa/bellini included - super good value for money. not to mention absolutely everything we’ve tried was super delicious. we were a party of 8 and everyone left very satisfied and happy. make sure to come hungry so that you’re able to try out things

cecconi’s is located inside soho beach house, it specializes in northern italian cuisine but it has also different options for vegans and vegetarians. the place is trendy and has a laid-back vibe, a beach decor and an outdoor space. you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner or brunch. it also has a wide and varied cocktail selection. it’s an ideal place to hang out with some friends at the bar, for a working breakfast or just a romantic date.

what we liked the most:  baked eggs

some seriously good food here. fresh pastas, complex sauces, and a bar that knows how to make perfect manhattans. fairly romantic - the tables of bachelorettes on the prowl kind-of detract from the experience, as do the pompous men of a certain age demanding "better" tables. happily, the food transports you away

this is hands down the best deal, one of the best lunch deals in town. my friends and i couldn’t believe it. the ambiance is what you’d expect of soho house – very euro, attractive people, courtyard or lounge setting. the star is the $18 buffet with dishes including poached salmon, large shrimp cocktail, turkey, vegetables galore, wonderful thin, crusty lightly stuffed focaccia, cheeses, and more.

in the magical courtyard of the members-only (we love the concept!) soho house, a dining, lounging and bar concept awaits. take in the glamour and the fresh air in its gardens, while the staff waits on your every whim. they will spoil you, so be sure to spoil your date too!  all the regulars know: if it's good enough for los angeles and london, cecconi's miami is good enough for me. soho house is where it's at. those really are silver buttonwood trees adorning the gardens. reservations are a must for dinner, but impossible for the bar.  

as entrees i had the branzino and chard as a side and my husband had the prosciutto pizza. the branzino was fine, fresh and mediterranean style but somehow lacked something to be truly great. the prosciutto pizza was amazing and in my husbands ranking it became the best pizza in miami. we both had ice cream for dessert and my raspberry and passion fruit sorbet was great. main criticism would be that the service was slow, they seemed extremely busy but took their time to serve our water or ask for our order, and tables are very near one to another so that one can listen to other's conversation,but so can they..!

whether it be london, nyc, miami or a slew of other locations, usually you need a membership to set foot in soho house . lucky for all, you can still grab some amazing food at cecconi's in the soho beach house miami without one. the restaurant is open air (as most miami restaurants are) and is beautifully lit. i love dim lights and candles, both of which this place has: with some amazing chefs , i expected cecconi's to offer up some delicious italian fare, of which it did: kale salad w/ ricotta salada, mangos & radishes (glutenfree) : being a recent addition, this salad is not currently shown on the online menu , so i was pleasantly surprised when i saw it. i love kale and usually dislike making it at home since the stalks you buy are so huge! throw in some mangos and this was a perfect app. ahi tuna tartare, chili & mint (glutenfree): they actually make this tartare table side, similar to how you get some guac made table side at mexican spots. honestly, i wasn't too impressed. i was h

cecconi’s is well known for its stunning nighttime vibe of twinkling lights that covet the buttonwood trees year-round. during the day cecconi’s is equally as enchanting with the south beach sun peeking through the the branches radiating a calm, chic mood.

pompous and pretentious. i don't know where to start on this place. business dinner for two on a humid patio with decent ambiance and average food. dinner for 2 -- $160! when my associate complained to the waiter and management about the small portions, he was treated rudely and lectured about how superior they felt. never again!

birthday meal $260.00. my wife and i went to your restaurant last friday for my birthday for a 7:30 pm dinner:

1. i was very disappointed when the girl sitting at the front desk told me "you have to be done by 9:30" as i was being led to my table by the hostess. i have never been told a specific deadline to exit a restaurant in my life, and i feel it cheapens your brand. it also made me feel like i was being told that i looked like some type of freeloader.
2. the waiter offered the filet of dover special and out of deference to my wife i made the mistake of not asking the waiter the price. he prepared a very nice and very small filet of dover for me. i was shocked to see the $60.00 price on my invoice, when i kindly asked the waiter if it was a mistake, he snapped back at me in a very rude manner that "yes $60.00 is the price"

we are an international medical device and nutrition company located here in miami, and we probably have 4 to 5 different restaurant meals occurring every week in miami/coral gables/coconut grove/& south beach. as a business owner i think you should know that we have a very bad experience at your restaurant last friday (april 1, 2011 @ 7:30pm). i don't think i can ever recommend your restaurant to anyone and i don't think i would return.

my birthday dinner was ruined by the experience.

sitting here for an hour after our reservation time. not sure how the meal is

not blown away by the food so far still waiting for main course but no expectations. service is also very slow.
