although theatmospherewas authentic the food was atrocious my partner and i ate here and had the steak and a chicken dish. let's start with the chicken it was full of fatty parts let's just say it wasn't the nicest part of the chicken and the best part of this dish was the polenta chips which doesn't say much it's not hard to make good crispy polenta chips, then there was the steak for around 32 dollars it was terrible, we asked for a medium rare but this steak consisted of some parts being cooked medium well whilst the meat cloeser to the bone was medium rare it was tinny in size and full of grisel, the fact that for $32 you got either a side salad or a small bowl of shoe string fries it was definitely not worth the money you spent on this, the service was long drawn out and unsavory alongside the food. after we left still hungry and feeling as unsatisfied as humanly possibly we went home to feel rather ill which has continued over to the next morning. overall it was about as disappointing as when you go to mcdonald's although at least mcdonald's fills you up. if it'satmosphereyou are after then yes go here but if u want a decent meal and to burn a massive hole in your pocket from over priced (to put it bluntly) food i wouldn't even feed my cat then go for it, just to add i wouldn't even rate this a one star but apparently you have to put a rating in to leave a comment.

i’m vegan and was advised to go wheat free last week (i’m crushed by it is what it is).

there isn’t much that caters for these on the menu but the staff and kitchen catered to my needs.

we adjusted a couple of dishes. for starter i had the egg plant stack, and for main the gnocchi with a tomato sauce.

both were very enjoyable. the egg plant stack was a great dish. all the elements complimented each other and it was flavoursome.

the gnocchi was tasty, fresh and filling.

our waiter was patient, helpful and friendly, catering and considerate to the whole table.

i would definitely go back.

i often go to cosa nostra as i live in the area. i enjoy theatmospherethere, and i think the pizzas and bruschetta are generally good. however, i do feel that the prices are a bit excessive for what you get. i have tried quite a few dishes from the menu and i am quite sure that the same sauce is used it multiple dishes. a lot of things taste the same. i am also quite disappointed how whenever i order anything that has olives in it, the olives are always already sliced black olives which are not of great quality and quite bland. perhaps that sounds very picky but i am big lover of olives. i think that for the prices they charge they could afford to raise the quality of their ingredients. there are many other restaurants in wellington which offer better food for a similar price.

my first visit to cosa nostra and i couldn't fault it. theatmosphereis cosy with a real italian feel. the food was to die for. we shared desserts so i got to taste a couple and the tiramisu and chocolate brownie were delicious.

i'm lucky enough to live close to this place. have never actually eaten in it but have ordered pizzas for take away. lovely! (and theatmospherein the restaurant always feels nice when i'm there)...staff also seem great!

great restaurant - food was tasty, well presented and good size. plenty to choose from, we had six different dishes and all were great. the staff were very friendly and helpful. desserts were a treat.atmospherewas just like the real family style italian restaurant in italy. definitely worth going to.

the food here is good without being too expensive, theatmosphereis nice, the staff are friendly, they are byo but they have a good wine selection and they have quilmes beer. the owner is a funny, family man.

i have been on a number for occasions and always had a good night out and good food.
