we came with a group of four adults and four kids. they have a kids menu, but we chose to share dishes. we had a number of things to try including salmon fettucine (very tasty), duck confit salad (average - duck wasn't crispy as it should be), short ribs (good - though very small portion), spaghetti and meatballs (enjoy the pasta at pasta lupino much more and the meatballs which they seem to play up were just ok), grilled salmon entree (also good) and a caesar salad (not much to say about this salad). the food ranged from slightly below average to very good.
service was even and prompt. our reservation on a busy saturday night (july 4) was honored right on time. drink orders were taken immediately, kids' orders came early as we requested and the rest of the food came reasonably quickly.
to be fair, we didn't try the pizza which others have reviewed well. not sure if we'll be back, but if so, we will try the pizza.
overall, caramba was good and they do have a lot of choices on the menu for larger groups. however, for the money (or even slightly more), i'd go to many other places first as they do a better job with the food. nothing against caramba -- for dinner with our kids, we just prefer some other mid-range places in the area more (like wild wood bistro, stonesedge kitchen, pasta lupino, and elements).
