solid bbq, great onion rings. we have been driving by cap's for quite some time and have always wanted to stop. we really enjoy bbq, so we decided to give it a go last saturday. first off, the place is really small. it seems a lot bigger from the outside. another thing, they do not serve alcohol, which didn't bother my pregnant wife, but i always enjoy beer with my ribs. we ordered a rack of ribs and the pulled pork sandwich, along with some fries and onion rings. one disappointment was that they were out of baked potatoes. the menu says they are not available until 5pm and we were there at 7, so either they are really good or they just don't make enough. the ribs were nice and meaty with a nice char. the bbq sauce is kind of their signature, with a touch of sweet. it adds a nice component to the ribs but not overpowering the meat. i ordered the pulled pork "tennessee style" which helped add some moisture to the pork as it was kind of dry, but combined with the bbq sauce, it was a good sandwich. last but not least, the onion rings were some of the best i have had in a long time. they were cooked perfectly with the right amount of batter. most of the tables around us had also ordered the rings, so it is definitely worth it to get a basket.
