very clean upscale atmosphere with excellent service. nice menu with good selections. food was the highlight. try the reuben, which was excellent.

fills a spatial niche. it feels right to have a dining establishment here, adding life to an otherwise too quiet corner. our lunch dishes were good but not notable. the coffee cake and cookie could have been better. the staff was friendly.

i actually didn't eat there. i went there for brunch today and was not able to stay because of my 4 lb chihuahua. i was seated on the porch with my dog that i kept in the bag. the owner came out and let me know she wasn't allowed to be there. he was very polite and stated they were trying to get that changed. the problem was when i tempted to leave i turned around and saw the entire staff staring at me like "how dare i bring a dog". i felt embarrassed and almost shamed. they staff was impolite and need some training on manners. they could have been gracious or maybe not humiliate a customer. :(

superb. dine here asap!. the food is eclectic, with unique combinations and variations on traditional themes. tastes are complex yet sublime. everything we tried was outstanding, including the sea scallops entree with forbidden black rice and asian slaw, honey lavender carrots (the lavender was trace - a hint more would be great), beets with goat cheese, grapefruit brûlée and tres leches dessert. we can't wait to go back. we love the paris zinc bar and cafe, but caffe niche has taken its spot as our favorite casual yet upscale dining choice.

delicious, friendly service, nice ambiance. while i had one negative experience at caffe niche awhile ago that had more to do with poor service than the quality of the food, my last few experiences there have been flawless. unique dishes, always just interesting enough without being too strange, and very friendly service.

itinerant musician. i recently provided music for a party at caffe niche. wow! the staff was fantastic to work with, and the food. oh yes! best ever. i've played at some pretty swank affairs in deer valley, sandy and park city (and a zagat rated 5 stars in san diego). this experience was better in quality of food served and all around excellence of service.

their challah-bread french toast, served on the weekends, is especially good served with maple butter, and orange-infused creme anglaise and topped with fresh berries.

great wine list + small plates. loved the patio on a summer evening. the extensive wine list had plenty of wonderful choices and sharing 3 small plates amoung 2 of us was perfect. the chef's special that night was sauteed wild mushrooms with roasted peaches drizzled with olive oil on a soft sourdough baguette. sounds strange - but it was strangely wonderful. i'm still craving it!

great for brunch and lunch. went for brunch and sat on the patio. quiet little restaurant in quiet neighborhood. they have fun brunch options for under $10 a plate.

lunch is also good. i had the cubanesque sandwich and it was very good. they also serve a lot of dishes with pickled jalapenos, which you either love or hate (i loved).

not a huge menu, but enough of a variety to appeal to a lot of tastes.

love caffe niche. i love caffe niche. i go at least twice a week. the farmer market vegetable special is how i start every meal. i have learned to eat so many new vegetables that are prepared to perfection. i always order the fresh fish specials . it's the best fish in utah.
don't miss the rubin sandwich or the morning egg sandwich!

keep up the good work!!!!!

love niche. i love caffe niche. i have been to niche over and over and the meals are incredible. their shaved brussels sprouts are amazing even for those who don't normally eat brussels sprouts. they pay sharp attention to detail which is important when visiting a great restaurant. chocolate decadence is major. homemade pasta dishes with delectable sauces. love the prosciutto with asparagus. a must try for anyone looking for a wonderful new restaurant that holds its own and introduces incredible food and service in a great location in salt lake. accomplished and affable chef has a hands-on approach and is available to the guests to answer any questions or address the dishes. very cosmopolitan atmosphere. go!
