before visiting café milano at four seasons in abu dhabi i was convinced that one could not have a authentic italian experience outside of italy. this quickly changed right after i devoured the starter with the mind-blowing burrata with beautiful wild tomatoes and asparagus’s. i believe what i’ve had so far at any place hasn’t been burrata, except for the one today!

the starter was accompanied by the chefs specialpastadish with seafood. the main was very authentic in its character and the flavors were completely autonomous, almost getting hungry while describing this dish again.

to finish of this beautiful culinary experience, and once you think it can’t get any better, it just gets better. we were served with tiramisu, probably the most extraordinary tiramisu i’ve had in my life too, and i’ve had many :). words can not even describe the explosion of flavors which occurred putting the first spoon and sensing the flavors. everything was rounded of with an italian cup of cappuccino with almond milk.

i can now go back on my conviction and say that i have experienced the best italian food outside of italy!

absolutely delicious!

we went there the last saturday and surprisingly the has this amazing friuli venezia-giulia brunch.

there are so many good things about this venue that y really do not know from where start.
the selection of cold starters was just enough to start the meal, delicate flavor, high quality of charcuterie and cold cuts; the panini and the pizza fritta were so light and tasty that after we ate them our appetite was more than ready for the next course: "hot starters'' the frittata with parmesan cheese is definitely something to highlight from the hot starter section, there were spinach and leeks tortino which has a perfect cloudy texture and really balanced flavor, the fagioli soup is a must if you go there! it really made me feel like if i was at home.
and finally; la pasta!! i no want to exaggerate but the homepastawas perfectly cooked, it is for much the bestpastai have ever tried in the uae so far... the thinness of the ravioli will make you understand the truly italian skills of the chef and his team, i will not describe how wonderful the flavor was because i do believe this one of those dishes that people must go to taste because any description of any ''blogger'' will have the right words to explain it. the ravioli came along with a longpastawith beef ragu, the shape of thepastawas a kind of ''bugattini'' perfectly cooked as well, i will just say i'll be back soon to the brunch only to repeat at least 5 times that pasta.
if you think that is enough, well when we talk about italian gastronomy never is enough: we got both main courses, the goulash with polenta and the black code, again the cooking method of the stew in the goulash, the flavor of the seasoning and the texture in the polenta take me back to home again. as a seafood lover, i was really excited waiting for the black code so as the rest of the food was just extremely delicious i got really high expectation from the fish, so after the first bite, i confirmed the marvelous chef the have at cafe milano - four seasons abu dhabi. no more comments... unfortunately we could not finish the main courses as it was too much food for only two of us.

i've talked too much about the place already but it will be unfair if i finish this review without mentioning how good, professional and engaging staff they have at cafe milano, mr. patrizion was the head waiter on charge of our table, the service was smooth and we definitely felt we were served by a professional. overall the staff was smiling and well-groomed. i saw the sommelier serving a glass of chianti in one of the nearest tables and i could appreciate his skills and professionalism, i think we made as well our aperol spritz so well done!! our table was approached by a gentleman who i think must be the gm or the maitre, i made the quality check twice and even helped me with an issue a was having (lost my mobile in the taxi) so overall the experience was beyond the expectation.

i'd like to highlight that even though the saturday brunch was amazing, this is a restaurant that has more to offer to the public in general, is the right place to go for dinner and enjoy a lovely bottle of franciacorta

came here for a team celebration meal. the staff was very attentive, the decor and ambience is lovely and you get a great view of the water if you sit outside. the food however needs to step up a notch to match up to everything else. considering the price you are paying, you would expect much more from the food.

to start, they offer complimentary bread and an olive bowl, which was great. drinks were also very good, i had an ice coffee and the passionfruit mocktail mojito. as an entree, i had the argula with pear and goats cheese salad, only ate half because you can only eat so much argula! my team ordered various antipasties, the mozerella with eggplant and the beef prosciutto looked like it tasted best. i would recommend sharing.

as forpastawe chose the risotto and the staff was kind enough to plate it into sharing portions for us. the sauce was amazing but the risotto was a little hard. i like my risottos to be soft and melt your mouth. most of us had the duck confit as a main. sadly, it was a bit dry. we had to ask for more sauce which made it a little better. they accommodated to my colleagues request of adding chicken to their vegetarian pizza but they said the pizza was bland and they looked miserable eating it. another colleague ordered the crispy skin sea bass and he seemed to really enjoy it.

dessert is a little bit expensive, 45aed for 2 small scoops of icecream! thankfully because i'm pregnant, we asked for an extra scoop and they happily obliged. the gelato was a great finish, best thing i had at the restaurant!

they also gave us a complimentary biscuit tray after dessert. drinkers got a free lemon alcohol shot.

overall lovely dining experience but definitely needs to step up with the food.

the food was delicious. we tried the pastas and it melted in our mouths like freshpastais suppose to. i would recommend cafe milano to anyone staying on al maryah island if they really are looking for amazing food. they service was very attentive and we left very happy with the experience.

this is what you call the perfect place .



the staff is more than lovely,the food is unbelievable ,the design is very unique and special,we orderedpastawith white sauce it was the best i've ever tried,and we got risotto which i liked very much,the pizza was the best in abu dhabi,and they've got a pears drink with soda which is ....you know what ? i won't say anything until you try it.

before we had our food,they brought us a sample dish on the house,it was octopus with dried tomato,it was the closest food to emarati food,and it was super delicious.

the desserts time has come,i ordered the cassa which ricotta cheese cake,i tried the tiramisu and lemon and chocolate cake,the sweets makes you order it again and again.


i met the chief,he was very respectful,the staff will be there whenever you need them.


don't ever hesitate to go grab a bite there.

unique experience and a very well custom service. the veal cheek very tender and the linguinipastais cooked to perfection, also the semi outdoor seating area is relaxing
