cafe evergreen

we visited the kasol outlet of this café, but i couldn't find a listing for that on zomato. despite having heard that café evergreen was the best in kasol, it failed my expectations. what disappointed me the most, was the long wait for our order to be taken and an even longer wait of about 45 mins for the food to arrive. the staff though polite, were very few in number and least bothered to attend to the tables.

we ordered veg pesto pasta, bar-b-q chicken tikka and chicken schnitzel. the pasta seemed more like white sauce than pesto. the chicken tikka came with a side of french fries and the schnitzel, with hummus, which was a bit too bland for my liking. all three dishes were okayish - the quantities were fine but the quality was not worth the price at all.

the decor and ambience however was pretty cool, with an indoor seating area as well as an outdoor one, overlooking the hills.

ask them what's their speciality and let them choose for you from the menu, surely you'll like what would be served on your table.

this lovely cafe in old manali is perfectly located with a clear view of the mountains from life size windows.
has a tibetan setting and a very warm inferior setting. the food is amazing as well.
we ordered oreo shake (5/5). it was refreshing.
honey chili potatoes were very tasty and crispy.
vegetable chowmein was also yummy.

ambience :
this cafe presents a slight shady and secluded location, but once you enter, it's a beautiful wood locked ambience. every table had a candle light to light up the place.
here, you get to choose either the normal chair table seating or the low laying table ground seating, which is an experience if you are with a big group of people.
the food service is slow but the staff are quite friendly .

the food : we ordered a varied range of cusines from the chicken schintzel,to the tomato and cheese sandwich to the penne pasta! i actually enjoyed the food. especially the iranian dishes!

had read in some blog that they make some good desserts so thought of trying this while on leisurely stroll in old manali.

the options are good, with brownies, truffles,crossaints etc .

opted for a brownie which is served warm and is priced at 50 for a piece. take your dessert and head to their river side sitting for a an amazing experience. the brownie was really delicious and i couldn't help myself order one more.

definitely recommend for good desserts. they also serve food but didn't taste on this visit. maybe some other time.

awesome ambiance. it's a happening cafe with live performance everyday. good food served which is worth the price. no gst applicable. enjoy this place when you come to manali .

budget friendly river view!

slightly cheaper and not so famous cafe but with river view.

we found this cafe as an escape to sudden rain and enjoyed the rainy weather sitting next to river view with drizzling sound.

didn’t try a lot of food but they have good hookah.

best cafe in old manali i really enjoy the food of cafe evergreen . and the river side area is the best place you can see the amazing valley and mountain view and the manalsu river flow next to cafe evergreen and the live music performance is awesome. i really enjoy here and recommended to all must visit best cafe in old manali..😊😊😊😊

we enjoyed the ambience coz there was an awesome live singing performance , the place is by the riverside, the sound of the river flowing with the singing added an icing to the cake

ambience was a good 7/10 and the food was fulfilling and priced genuinely. 10/10 for food.
overall loved the experience. a memorable stop on our road trip💯
