started off very well as we seated ourselves on the verandah overlooking the marina and a waiter swiftly provided menus and a bottle of water. just as swiftly he took off without asking if we would like to order a drink. waiting to place a drink order ( as i refuse to even order my food until i have a drink in front of me ) i finally flagged someone down. drinks in hand we were then besieged with six yelling children ( parents inside and don't care) thundering up and down the boardwalk with no-one doing anything about it ( our drinks and table were shaking) so we had to move but that offered little relief. ordered our meals and my husband had the "special" tasmanian salmon at $29.00, very meager but the salmon was reasonable. i had the soup of the day, mushroom, well it could have been cream of anything as it had no specific flavor. the toasted turkish bread was soft and mushy. oh, and they forgot the bread initially so i had to go in search of it, sorry to put the surly waitress out. despite being new locals to the area and just up the road, we will not be back any time soon. better to take byo to the fish shack next door, where the fish is delicious. the final insult which we didn't realize until later was that we were overcharged by around 10.00, make sure you ask for an itemised bill.

my family and i have been on a few ocassions including birthdays , mothers day etc... beautiful view sitting outside and hugely happy we could have our dog there with no fuss. food was delicious definatly on my next date night out place to go list

really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. service was amazing and food came out really quick. we didn’t want anything too fancy and just wanted a big feed and we weren’t disappointed. the pork schnitzel was really good, didn’t have a strong pork, had really fresh chips and a nice mushroom gravy/sauce. the carbonara had a really nice flavour, not too rich, and had really fresh cherry tomatoes. great value for money, will be returning. next time will be trying the lamb rack, table next to us had it and it looked the goods.

we dined here on friday as a group of 6 for a birthday and had a wonderful experience. the food was incredible (chicken parmigiana, green chicken curry, kids nuggets and chips, kids fish and chips and the seafood frenzy for 2) the service was unbeatable, there was colouring activities given to the kids keeping them happy, the atmosphere was lovely making it the perfect evening. thank you for a fab night out!

everything is absolutely perfect , we have had couple of visits , every time it's been sensationally good

this was a most anticipated evening to celebrate a birthday...food was absolutely disgusting we sent 2 mains back 1st one was stone cold the 2nd we returned as was inedible due to being full of uncooked fat. the other main tasted only of butter and fake gravy ..even the entrees needed to scrape the uncooked fat from the pork belly......... overrated and we won't be back

friendly, accommodating staff and a great atmosphere. the pricing is fair and the set lunch menu is great value for money. minimal vegetarian options but what they do have is delicious. split billing is also available.

i saw some of the the low ratings on zomato, and all i can say is our group of 6 had a great lunch. the food (especially seafood) and service were excellent, nice views over water, modern layout and furnishings. overall very happy. recommend the squid!!

i am appalled that they have upset my dear cousin who is legally blind and has a guide dog. they refused her right to sit inside the cafe, and are now disputing how blind she is. how dare they. my cousin is sweet and gentle, coping amazingly well with her blindness and a number of set backs including health issues and bereavement. i admire how she picks herself up, determined to continue to live her life to her best ability, and then some random, uneducated business owner does this to her. she is so upset. going for lunch with friends is a joy for her, and her friends and family love her a lot. we are not settling for this. i am seeking advice from the australian human rights commission regarding breach of the disabilities act 1992

this is always my first choice for a good brekky. beautiful spot; always lovely watching the boats & water. the service is friendly & attentive, & the food is tasty. always recommend for a nice casual meal.

we have eaten oysters all over the world and in our many years of experience have learned to identify when something isn't right! on the very rare occasion this has happened to us in the past we have had very experienced well trained managers on hand who have replace or refunded our order post haste and apologised for the inconvenience! given our experience in the customer service industry we hate to have to give such a poor review but we find it our duty since management seemed so unhelpful to inform people their health is at risk eating at this establishment! the extra point scored was for the lovely waitress who attempted to be helpful at all times!

quick pop in for a coffee here yesterday. we only bought drinks as it was 10.30 and were given the breaky menu but already had eaten breaky. when we approach the counter to pay i noticed all the delicious looking cakes & was sad that our waitress hadn't mentioned them. the service was very prompt & the coffee great.

can't fault it! - such a special place.. we've been coming to cafe coast for nearly 2 years, we come here because it is consistently impressive, great food, gracious staff in combination with a setting that makes everything awesome.
being so secluded this place is a hidden gem, consistently and proudly achieving it's amazing reputation.
