come hungry. the pastami reuben is double stacked and is even as good as a true cornbeef, if not better. my husband had the knee deep with caramelized onions and swiss and he almost didn't finish it because of the sheer size. the owner, rocking around in his baseball cap and smile was helping out the staff not cause he needed to, but because he wanted to, real nice guy 😁. didn't get a chance to try the cocktails but i will be next time, i'm coming back, and bringing the crew with me.

slow service and they were not that busy. food came out cold

yumm! and nice service to boot!. went here for a late lunch: had bbq pork sliders, grilled cheese and salads with buttermilk chive dressing. all were very well prepared and good. sizes were generous. very nice waitstaff. good coffee as well from south fork.

tip on the side: be sure to check out the gin selection at the liquor store next door.

ordinary burger place. server was horrible...

i went there for lunch and even half of the restaurant was empty.

i had to wait 10 min. for just order my food and finally the waitress gave me water.

the burger was just burger. nothing special. ok level patty ok level buns and veggies. from fsa or sysco or mcdomanld wholesale.

the owner was around the tables and asking questions but he was just asking not really want to know what i think..

after having an ok meal, i had to wait for a bill for a while.. slow serving and ok food and the menu

was nothing nothing special....

yummy! food presented nicely, friendly staff, good food! nice variety of food. i had the nachos. the bar decorated nicely. i will visit again.

great food, great service. pretty nice atmosphere. one of the first places in eugene where i actually brought food home. large, filling plates. i'd recommend to a friend. the owner is usually hosting and will personally check on you and make sure everything is good.

i'll be back :). i went here for lunch with my sister and we loved the food and drinks (raspberry and pear lemonade).....but the service was pretty slow for there not being that many people there.

hands down- best fries in town. prices are right- food is consistent and burgers are phenomenal

great brunch. when our family came out from new york for a visit, we really weren't sure where to go for a nice brunch. we wanted someplace that could accommodate a large group, that wasn't outrageously expensive but yet had good service and good food.

after reading some review here and another web site, and visiting a couple of places in person to scope them out, we decided to take a chance on cafe 440.

there were about 15 people (and a service dog) in our group. we ordered drinks and they arrived in a pretty reasonable time. btw, i'm a bit of a lightweight and i ordered a bloody mary - first sip about knocked my socks off! the do not scrimp on the alcohol! most will consider this a plus.

the food took a bit longer to arrive. i know it was a large group, but i can only give them a "c+" in the service department. the servers (we had 2 assigned to our table) were not so great about bring coffee refills or other requested items to the table.

once the food got to us, it was a wonderful brunch and everyone really enjoyed their meal, so i give the food a definite "a". i had the eggs benedict and my eggs were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was wonderful.

i think this place is best left for couples or smaller groups as they don't seem to be as well prepared for large groups - the servers and cooks don't seem to be as organized for tending to a large group like we had, but the food (and drinks if you can hold your liquor!) is definitely worth a visit.

delicious food. recently we had a large family get together for my husband's birthday. there were a total of 13 of us and although the large party did cause a bit of a delay in getting our food, when we were served everyone agreed the food was worth waiting for. i had the cold lox benedict which was served with home fries and fresh fruit garnish. i got the small portion and couldn't quite clean my plate although i definitely tried! oh, and you won't complain about the cocktails being shy on the liquor. only complaint is same with almost everywhere; lousy acoustics. the floors are bare, not much furniture with upholstery and the raised ceilings make conversation a bit of a challenge. go there to eat, not talk. can't wait to go back.

how do you spell crap. nothing good here ! i take that back you can't mess up kettle one rocks no fruit! after that all bad ! dang even the service is bad.....nope can't think of a positive !crap

here on a tuesday night. food and cocktails are great and the music is fantastic. a great way to spend a tuesday evening.

great lunch/early dinner spot.. this is currently my new favorite place to eat in eugene. i have been here a few different times and tried quite a few items--all of which were delicious. the pulled pork, crab cakes, california chicken sand, homemade soups and risotto balls were all fantastic. the sauces are unique and delicious. i haven't tried any alcoholic beverages yet but will be sure to next time. i've only been here in the late afternoon and once for happy hour, but i've never had a problem with the service. everyone has been friendly and prompt, and they seem to work together quite well. as a server myself, i always like it when servers take it upon themselves to refill other servers' tables waters as they walk by.

my boyfriend also loves the food here, and he always comments on how great the music is. all in all, i'd recommend this place to anyone and i will definitely be back.

maybe it's fantastic....but i'll never know since we waited for 20 minutes and no one took our order. so, we left.

great food!. the food is delicious and original. if you want something different at a good price with friendly service this is the place. i have liked every thing i have ordered! great mac and cheese too!
