from new hampshire to south carolina, the east coast is blessed with the fine cookings of burtons grill. our family checked out the one in connecticut while visiting family there. now while this restaurant is more on the upscale side, we felt perfectly comfortable bringing our children (5 and 9) there and we weren't the only ones to do so. the restaurant staff is very friendly toward children and there is a fabulous children's menu...

food was great, excellent service. would definitely recommend and eat at this nice place again. expensive, but worth it every penny. got too full to eat desert.

unbelievable meal starting with an assortment of appetizers--tuna, calamari, and firecracker shrimp followed by a wonderful ribeye (get the onions and mushrooms). ended with a double espresso and creme brûlée.

sit outside, it's enjoyable!

always great!. i have been here on dates and for business dinners a few times. the food and drinks are consistently delicious. as someone who is allergic to dairy products, they are accommodating and make me feel comfortable. always ask for the server named angel, he is the best!

overpriced food but good service. dinner was way overpriced! my husband ordered the trio of seafood which consisted of a small crab cake, four shrimp and a small salmon filet. it came with sad looking small roasted potatoes and a few wedges of zucchini squash. the cost of the meal was $32.95!!! my dinner was ok... mediterranean chicken risotto. the risotto and the vegetables were very tasty but the chicken was extremely bland. there was no flavor to the chunks of white meat chicken that tasted "leftover".

the service however was wonderful... we were greeted promptly, seated at a nice table and had a very attentive waitress.

love this place! have brought my two toddlers there several times and have had a great experience every time! great gf kids menu, unbelievable and super delicious adult gf free menu! gf dinner rolls, gf buns, separate fryer for fries - again, love this place. risotto is amazing! had erin as a waitress who was so so great - a table with two little kids and a sever gluten allergy probably isn't the easiest and she was so attentive and wonderful!

this place is excellent. i went there with my son who has wheat and dairy allergies.
it was a wonderful experience for him. they made sure there was no dairy or wheat in anything he ate. the huge kids meal he had consisted of a steak, carrot sticks, french fries, and mixed fruit. the french fries were made in a separate fryer as to not contaminate them. we had calamari breaded with corn flour with out the butter milk for obvious reasons, and they were great. i would give the place 10 stars if i could. the kids meal was amazing for the money. my meal was the sesame crusted tuna and it was done to perfection and went great with the 2006 deloach pinot noir. the calamari was excellent and the service was superb.

celiacs who must eat gluten free will be thrilled by the knowledgeable staff, the full gf menu (not a little photocopy of a few items). all gf items are served on rectangular dishes so all staff recognize and prevent cross contamination. dedicated fryer, so have those french fries! delicious food.

great food, fair service.. food was excelent. lobster risotto was amazing. bronzed mahi great too. you do have to ask if you want bread. service is fair. waitstaff is slow and not attentive.

great place for client lunch. i visited burtons grill while visiting a client in south windsor. (they suggested burtons and i was, as usual, eager to try someplace new.) beautifully decorated in a modern style, burtons ambiance was energetic at lunch. we had reservations, although they weren't necessary on a tuesday. the staff was pleasant and well trained to offer a superior culinary experience. i enjoyed the black bean soup, which was the soup of the day, along with a steak salad. portion sizes were perfect. i left feeling neither hungry nor stuffed. the price was around $100 for four people. overall, i recommend this place without thinking twice. ... (maybe, if i am lucky, my clients will invite me back in warmer weather and we can eat outside on their patio.)

love it!!. great food, great service, fun outdoor dinning. they have phenominal appetizers if you want to give this place a try. philly spring rolls - yeah! its philly cheese steak in a spring roll oozing with cheese. so good! everything on the menu is extremely tasty and more upscale than your regular dining experience. take you date here or go for a nice aniversary dinner. bottom line: cool place, nice setting, fine food!

good meal. burton's grill is a tad overpriced, but considering its surroundings that's forgivable. i've consistently enjoyed my meals here, some more than others, but it's a great reason to put on some fancy threads (or stay casual) and eat well. and you really can't go wrong with the waitstaff.

good food, generic atmosphere. my mom took me here for my birthday. the food was good, though a bit sparse for the price. the atmosphere was pretty generic. in future, i would save my pennies and go elsewhere for an italian/american meal.

gluten-free friendly. burton's has a gluten-free menu that not only includes safe items from the regular menu, but also adapts menu items to make them gluten-free, such as fried calamari. they also serve redbridge. food is delicious and filling. great pick.
