i had high hopes after reading about bumblebee's. i mean, the pictures here look amazing as does the idea of the food! but after my first visit i was disappointed. in fact, i was disappointed that i was disappointed! i ordered the bulgogisandwichand it was hefty, it really filled me up. but unfortunately the flavor was flat. it wasn't bad, but it was just 'eh' when my expectations were 'wow'. maybe it just needed salt? why are so many places these days afraid of salting or properly seasoning their food? anyway, it reminded me of an asian cheesesteak sandwich--weak on the asian, heavy on the cheese.
i'll go back because there are a few more items on the menu i want to try. i haven't written you off yet, bumblebee's.
made it back end tried the k-pop fries. and the were good, covered in your choice of meat and sauces. the top layer has all the meat and sauces, and it's great. then you work down to the lower layers of fries and the meat and sauce is sparce--and needed salt. but this is a big serving. i barely got it all down and was stuffed.
i'll bump up my rating after this visit, and i still want to try their tacos. but so far this place is a fun diversion from your everyday lunch. the food isn't amazing, but it's good. and worth a visit.
this place would be fantastic if the flavors were more k and less a.
