the crab cakes are amazing! get a seat outside if weather permits, everything i’ve eaten here is top notch, but the crab cakes are the best!

amazing food and service loved the atmosphere and staff everyone was friendly and accommodating. it's sad i didn't find this little gem sooner.

patio is beautiful with the marina right there. the food was so-so. ordered seared scallops. didn't expect them to have a coating on them. it was either cheese or breading. the service was awesome. i would go back again. maybe not for the food aspect, but for the ambiance.

we come here often, mostly for the sunset dinner specials, but also for the mother's day brunch buffet.  the sunset dinner specials are a good choice if you want an early dinner, since they come with soup or salad, a smaller entree and dessert.  we always have creme brulee for dessert.

this place is a definite stop. and i don't think i even need to say this , because this place is always crowded.
while you sit and enjoy your scrumptious meal, you'll also be accompanied by a beautiful view.
the staff is friendly and when you're too overwhelmed to make a decision with the menu, they happily help you out.

below expectations, waiting 7 minutes to be approached by wait staff, after seven minutes i attempted to make eye contact seeing hearing 3-4 staff, no luck. i asked another customer if i miss understood the process and if they do t come to the table to take orders. the other three- four tables received service. the other customer got the attention of a waiter for me the young man said he would get menu then ask if i had checked in? he told me i needed to go inside to check on them i could come back out to be waited on. really! really! if you don't want people walking in and sitting down on the patio, block if off and tell folks they are not able to. needless to say i won't be back. to bad the waiter is not empowered to say here is the menu i will check you in. years of customer service and food service experience and i have not seen wait staff who don't know the tables they are to cover? or who is new in their section.

the monterey bay cajun calamari is so delicious you don't need any sauces with it, and i am a sauce condiment freek. amazingly delicious all by itself.

go for the view and location, not the food ... the alaskan way ivar's of olympia. if you are looking for wonderfully crafted food and an upscale atmosphere for a date, this is not the place to go. if you are looking for a place where one can look out at the water and boats and eat decent food, look no further. parking is simple and plentiful and it is the type of place where you can take grandma and grandpa and the kids. it is a lot like the inside dining at the ivar's on alaskan way on the waterfront in seattle; although the food is maybe a notch or two below ivar's. the waitstaff seemed young and a little awkward at times, but seemed to be trying to do their best. (+)plus: the wine list was surprisingly good; we ordered a novelty hill and dusted valley. (-)minus: the salad dressing came in a cheap black, plastic ramekin, the kind one squirts ketchup into at a fast-food restaurant. one would think that when the entrée is $25-$30, the salad would come with dressing in a glass ramekin or at least one of the faux glass melamine ones. all in all, a perfectly safe, predictable place for decent food with a nice view of the boats and water.

had the seafood medley and the dungeness crab and artichoke appetizer. food was cooked prefectly. fresh and delicious. would absolutely go again.

place for brunch. the view doesn't get much better than this! best to go for brunch, everything was great. especially mimosas. just keep in mind there will likely be a wait!

nice for guests. budd bay is our pick for summer afternoons on the patio, looking out over the water, or enjoying a quick happy hour at the bar. the food is good but inconsistently so. like most restaurateurs in olympia, the owners don't put a lot of food passion into this exquisite location and beautiful restaurant. but it is a nice place and a great patio. we'll stop by on a walk around the waterfront for a drink and appetizers, and the sunset is well worth it. we love the fish tacos.

nope. atmosphere was tourist, food made me sick enough to shoot straight home. second waiter was nice, first seemed completely pre-occupied. there were dirty tables all over, no one cleaned them even though the waitstaff walked past a dozen times. burger had no thought put into it and tasted terrible with a mushy consistancy. au jus was no real thing and tasted like boulion and water. best part was the
the butter and the curry beef stew.

bottom line - there are much better places around town to go to before i ever go back and try their "specialties". generic joint that may as well be applebees.

we been station here from texas, and my parents was and little sister was here visiting for the weekend. we had a party of 5 and we was told that this place had great food.
well we was place on a waiting list for 20-25 mintues, which we was unsure about, but agreed to wait. finally when we were sitted, we notcie that the place had so many empty tables, and booths. it was more than half way empty. we found it very odd that we had to wait for service, to a point where people who came in after us, got complimentary bread and and drinks. we never received any complimentary bread, even after we asked. our waiter told us we only give that upoin request but from disbelief i asked a different waiter who was walking past, and was told a complete different answer.
it took our food forever to come out! when if finally arrived to the table it was cold as ice cream. and i was giving attidue when i inform them that my food was completely cold. my husband, and mom food was cold as well, but they didn t want to complain, so they just ate their food as is.
the craziest part of all, was they went forward with serving food that i cancel for my 5 year old, (this was way before they food came out. which took forever.) he never touch that plate that i cancel because we got him a different dish instead. the crazy female server demand that we pay for the dish because it was nothing wrong with it. after she was told not to bring it out. she also never brought the bread out, and never brought out the lemons for my water.
i then respectfully ask to speak to the manager. now the place was completely empty. we waited forever, my husband walk to the front to ask for the manger, that was a while, and then my mom and i walked to the bar where the manager was, who took the dish off without any problem, and made excuses for the complete experience. our ticket price was over $150 and the waiter refuse to take a childs meal off, because she decided to continue to serve it after i cancel. they bless that my mom agree to pay for that meal, cause if it was me having to pay. they wouldn t have receive any payment for any of that. i would have walked stright out of there, refusing to pay for that disrespect, cold food serving, demading waiter, non customer service having, racist company

great food service was okay. be careful with you pay with cash they tried to short me $40.

not bad just never meets expectations. maybe my expectations are too high. i /we always go thinking what agreat location and leave feeling it could have been better ... but please do not get me wrong it is not bad i think it is me. is a nice place
