buck's american cafe

it's was a thumbs up from us. we weren't sure what to make of it because of the negative reviews but it was close to where we were staying and had steaks which was what our teenage son wanted. we ordered a sirloin to go and while we waited had a drink at the bar. the bar tender was great, took our order with all of the quarks, including asking the chef to cut up the steaks for us as we were using the plastic to-go utensils and she made a fresh pot of decaf for our very tasty irish coffees....made without the baileys as per our request. our experience was great, thefoodwas great and we would try the restaurant as an eat in next time we are in town.

this place had badfoodi had a steak that i had to chew for hours. the bathroom was horrid. ivy was growing inside from a pipe opening. the tp holder was on the floor. service was bad also i had to ask three times for more coffee.

horrible experience.... i read the reviews posted on here about bucks and decided to try it myself. well, it seems the "haters" were right. the service at bucks is not only bad but the worst i have had in years. my wife had to reorder her cocktail three times before receiving a gin and tonic. our server was more concerned with texting from the server station than attending to her tables. but i can overlook poor service if thefoodis decent. and it wasn't. we did not order and appetizer but my entree was ice cold while my wife's was dry and piping hot. my guess it sat underneath the heat lamp awaiting my dish to be finished by the cook. we requested to speak to a manager and were told that none were present. we decided to not eat the entrees and just paid our drink tab and left. the most amusing part of all of this is that the server was acting if we had done something wrong.

yuck! this place is not as advertised. we waited over an hour for prawns and cod in an empty restaurant. the service was friendly but terribly slow. after attempting to speak to a manager, we were informed that there was not one. thefoodfinally came. it was cold and overcooked. realizing it was hopeless we paid our bill and left with empty stomachs. moving on to the better business bureau to hopefully get our $80.00 back. i honestly feel like we were robbed. do not eat here!

do not eat here! my wife, sister-in-law, and i decided to try a local restaurant in the area and saw bucks listed as a decent place to find local northwest cuisine. not worth it, at all. not only did thefoodtake an hour, thefoodwas terrible. service was friendly, but just like the food. awful! i tried to speak to a manager but was told there was no manager present. only cooks and servers work at bucks apparently. we tried to send thefoodback but we were still charged an then to top the evening off they added 18% gratuity onto our 3 person bill. don't waste your time or money!!! prohibition grill up the street is much better or even terra-cotta red across the street, just don't go here!
