what a fun place to hang. over the years i have bowled, watched a play and had a few great breakfast moments here. the place has been well maintained given the age of the building and the large amount of traffic. the price for breakfast is a bit more than i prefer to spend, but the food is always excellent. the staff enjoy their job and keep things flowing as the place remain packed all day on a weekend. if you are new to the area or traveling, this is a place to check out. parking is on the street and can be a challenge at times. the slant is more vegitarian these days.

$100 plus tip for one bowl, a couple of very bland bloody mary's, two undercooked hamburgers and a dried out tortilla with rice in it. i used to love this place a long time ago. too expensive and not worth it anymore. wow. what happened?

ann's breakfast burrito was very good and very filling. the service was exemplary. i loved the hip and edgy nature of bryant-lake bowl and it stands out with its unique nature and charm.

their gf menu is impressive! i even had an adult beverage, a crispin cider.  for a long time i had sworn off alcohol altogether, since i always got a headache from drinking it.  now i realize that’s because overwhelmingly i was drinking drinks like smirnoff ice or mike’s hard lemonade, which are all labeled “flavored beer.”  whether that’s literal or for regulatory purposes i don’t know, but now i steer clear of anything with “beer” anywhere on the label.  unless, of course, i’m at a nice place like bryant-lake bowl with a selection of gf beers and a few cider offerings, not just one choice.  strangely, no link to drink menu.  no probs!  i took a picture!  :) gf beers and other beverages available at blb my delicious gf rachel sandwich (turkey, thousand island, cheese and kraut) on udi’s bread with kettle chips and a pickle. they really managed to ke

atmosphere: retro and casually romantic. a great place for a first date, or a night out with a few friends (not too many friends though, it can get crowded!) service: knowledgeable and quick, no-nonsense...

nice funky restaurant with quirky staff. this is a nice place to go for sunday brunch or for lunch with friends. the food is good, the restaurant is small, so try not to go during a really busy time or you may have to wait for awhile. the staff are not overly friendly, but get the job done.

you have to try the homemade tater tots. they're the size of a fist and taste like heaven! i'm not a big fan of parking in uptown, but this hip place might be worth the hassle. walleye sandwich was delicious. pulled pork was hotter than my date liked.

one word: consistent. still my favorite brunch spot in the cities. just a great energy every time you walk in. servers are fantastic, food is consistently good, and love that they offer a bloody caesar as well. have eaten here dozens of times over the past year and have zero complaints.

the happy hour appetizer specials are excellent. our waitress recommended the pulled pork sliders, tacos (also pulled pork) and the grilled cheese, and all three were delicious.

definitely a hip and trendy place to be seen. that's as far as it goes. the place is dingy and the general appearance is dirty (is dirty hip these days?). our table of 4 suffered an hour's worth of loud din noise until we for our glorified egg mcmuffins. a total bust!

horrible service!! watch out.. went for breakfast this morning with my husband, his parents and our 2 preschoolers. we waited 10 mins for waters, another 15 minutes to place our orders and then almost 45 minutes for our food. we inquired but were told the kitchen was busy. we should have left. a few other tables were also irritated and we were chatting that maybe the cooks went on strike. a few other tables seemed to have better luck and were served and gone long before us.
i told the waitress and she just said they were busy. i called and spoke to the manager later who indicated, they were chatting about the fact that the kitchen was 45 mins backed up. when i asked about the sporadic-ness of the people who were served before us she indicated they must have ordered something "easy to prepare". i indicated that 3 out of 4 of us got the special - an egg scrambler -nothing too complicated. the manager was not very apologetic.
the food was good, but there are many other places nearby to try that have comparable or better food. not worth the wait! obviously, they don't feel the need to keep customers happy. i'm not going back!
