wonderful lunch with my eggplant sisters. enjoy the bistro so very much. not sure where these people are eating that is so much better than here, because to me this is a wonderful venue, and the food is very exciting. except for the miniature desserts (which is all i should have anyway, if that) everything is tasty that i've had so far and the waiter was just awesome!...as was the busboy. sure wish i had gotten our waiter's name. delicious ice tea and bread which is always so appreciated! ann makes it herself from what i understand. so don't listen to these other rubes...or whatever...you will enjoy this place very much! very unique, lots of variety.

great food, great atmosphere, great service!. loved the chowder! don't miss the oysters and fish cakes. nice to find a place with human portions for dessert rather than trying to serve you another meal.

had dinner there on september 26 with several members of my family. the food was outstanding and our waitress, diana, made the experience so memorable with her menu and cocktails suggestions. i recommend this bistro to everyone and look forward to my next visit.

this place looks awesome! ambience is perfect! wine list rocks. however; we were expecting an elevated experience with food based on comments on zomato, but i would have to say that it was only o.k. service was slow and lacking, and food was just o.k. more like pub food. i think that given the price food would be better.

they have a great view, unfortunately the location is on the windy side so the outside seating is often closed. inside is huge, with a two storey ceiling which make it feel like a barn. the food is good and the bar covers your needs. depending on what you are looking for, there are better choices in astoria.

it may take a bit of poking around to find this red building nestled under the impossible to miss bridge, but it is worth any exploration needed to get there. entrance is near the "bridge end" of the building.

reservations recommended.

they have a very nice selection of small plates, and we had a couple of those along with a salad and dessert, all of them very nicely done and reasonably priced. service was great. a live jazz trip (thursday, friday, saturday, i think) was a nice added touch, but that my have increased business, so we were barely able to get in without reservations.

it sits right on the water's edge, and has a beautiful view of the river, and the bridge which is there, but not overpowering.

a nice treat, in a very nice town.

upscale but kid friendly, this was a good choice for an anniversary with young children. we shared some small plates, which were awful small considering their price. i enjoyed the "crab-scargot" and the risotto balls were great too! the location is lovely as well, right under the astoria bridge.

this is a great restaurant, with great food, a view and excellent wait staff.  we had a reservation and that scored us a nice window seat on a beautiful sunny evening. this stop we both had something to drink, i had a fort george cavatica stout, which comes with the can since the can is fun, and my wife had the cherry hard cider on tap.  they were both good.  i opted for the special appetizer as a starter, scallops with a chimichurri sauce, which was great.  my wife had the peninsula cranberry salad and also loved it.  because of the chimichurri with the appetizer i opted for the puerco pibil, which is a latin american pork dish, and it was excellent.  my wife had seared ahi tuna "ah poivre" and loved it.  we were not done, we checked out the desserts and decided to try a trio. we both wanted to try the habanero-lime cheesecake, which was good and had a kick at the end so half of it each was a good idea.  my wife wanted to try the raspberry white chocolate bread pudding and really liked it.  i wanted to try the chocolate "bete noir" and also really liked it.  we will be back.

ideally i would have preferred to eat here at dinner as the menu seems more interesting and seafood-heavy. the lunch menu is mainly a celebration of salads, sandwiches and burgers; the typical american staples we’d grown a little tired of.

very good dining experience. my wife and i, plus two friends dined at the bridgewater bistro for the first time on a friday night. over all, i would say it was good experience. we ordered the smoky tomato mac & cheese as an appetizer, and it was delicious with wonderful creamy, smoky, and tomato flavors. we also shared the mayan salad, which was another very good choice. the combination of ingredients is delightful. for the entree, i had wild columbia salmon on a bed of rice pilaf with mixed grilled vegetables. the salmon was cooked correctly and tasty, but the rice pilaf was fantastic! it had a buttery, creamy flavor that was unique, and the grilled vegetables complemented everything well. my wife ordered the wagyu steak, and hers was the only complaint for an otherwise splendid meal. she ordered her steak medium rare, but it arrived cooked more like medium well. it was somewhat dry and certainly not very juicy. at $35, i would expect the steak to be cooked perfectly. our server, however, did reimburse us partially for the botched steak. overall, we had a good dining experience, and we would probably give the brigewater bistro another try.
