brick rooftop kitchen & bar - aloft hotel

me and my friend decided to join for thursday evening brunch after a long week. when we got there it was nice and a bit windy. food was amazing coming out from the oven in the middle of the restaurant. drinks had a wide selection. food was amazing with variety. it's a great place to be and value for the money. a must try

bottom line: the friendliness of waitstaff (roy in particular - thank you) and its chic decor rooftop saved the night !!! the food is kind of hit and miss.
1. the beef chorizo is the safest choice, however the oven-baked wings are pretty dry.
2. straight off the bat, i can tell this is not sourdough bread. cheese was baked and put on top of this pre-made thick white bread base. it would be more appealing if they slice the sourdough bread, put cheese on top and baked it.

ambience is amazing. gorgeous views, nice ambient music, cute decor, etc. wouldn't change a thing. plus blankets and heat lamps on these chilly abu dhabi nights!

service was superb. special shout out to our server omar who was so sweet and attentive. but really everyone was welcoming and made the evening special.

food was fantastic. we had a mashed potato pie, margherita pizza, corn on the cob, baked shrimps, and s'mores. nothing survived cause it was all so yummy!

drinks were divine. we had several signature drinks: the sangria, brick planter, and mojito. everything was so good, and came quickly.

i'm already planning my next trip back to see omar, and the 20% off best bites discount is certainly sweetening the deal.

also, the hotel is super cool! i've never been to aloft before but it's really funky. the last picture is the floor of the elevator. when you step on it the dye moves around. provided a lot of entertainment to us grown adults 😂

looking forward to coming back to enjoy the amazing weather and great views at brick. their terrace decor is super nice with greens and natural woods. they have two outdoor pizza ovens so that the food is coming out hot and fresh. it was really tasty. they have such a large space, there was another event happening while we were there with lots of people. it was a shame it started to become really windy; the staff was quite busy packing and cleaning up everything so i don’t think our table got much attention.
