friendly staff and the management adds that personal touch. had dinner with a colleague. steaks were great and well prepared. tshitso and talenta were our waiters and their welcoming attitudes made our visit pleasurable. thanks guys.

my goodness did christmas come and go or what happened!! the waiter took our order, we ordered mussels for starters and we waited and waited and waited. the mussels was just above average, sauce was ok but felt that the piri piri component overwhelmed the whole sauce. i had better mussels at other restaurants at the fraction of the waiting time. we decided to order mains as soon as the starters arrived, but we waited and waited for the mains to arrived, i don't understand why it took so long - were they trying to send a chicken to the moon or something. the food was acceptable, good taste, where we had pork ribs and piri piri chicken however the whole waiting game didn't help. we were thinking of having desert but it was getting a bit too late. atmosphere was ok, not much people in the restaurant so do not understand the delay. if you don't mind the waiting then this could be the restaurant for you. will come back when a time machine is built so i can skip the waiting.

well worth a visit if in the area. good, good, good staff. and the food is even better. a perfect spot to have a sundowner in winter. the loch may be cold but the braza is hot.

i've been here multiple times over the years (dad is a fan).the atmosphere is super chilled. the staff is friendly. the dessert is average. the restaurant needs a cocktail menu & they need to master making king prawns- they were a tad undercooked. the fries are top 5- never disappoint.💕.
average, but would return again.

food is delicious service is excellent and even the manager or for that matter owner comes around to check up never had complaints will always go there

they have a very nice interesting menu unless you are looking for something vegetarian. then you only have a salad and veg curry as options. this is really a pity as it should be possible to be a bit more creative.

they do have craft beer as a bonus.

i saw there was a special on mountain trout fillet on the board. i ordered and then it was not available. ordered a second castle lite. none left. this in the high season and already nothing available? will i come back? why should i? is it wrong to expect good service or is bloem bound to stay mediocre. in the end i ordered the bass, which was tender and juicy, bur still not trout....

good food, friendly service. the owners and or management make an effort to greet customers personally. their creme caramel for dessert is definitely a must! price is fair. the service could get slower when it is full but not to the extent that makes you want to stand up and walk out, it just requires a bit of patience.

friendly service together with good food. very nice place to visit, wide variety of food and nice scenery as it looks out onto the waterfront. management were present in the restaurant and made sure you are happy with your meal.

finding yourself in other parts of the republic where eating out is not big can be a joy and a pain depending where you are - that's why i tend to stick to tested brands when not sure.

needed to have forced dinner as i was not feeling well. ordered starter portions of giblets, chourico and calamari and carafe of chardonnay. well, there wasn't much choice but i don't know how some wines get into these lists...😣

ambience = 2.5. besides a group of young ladies who were having a get-together, the place was dead - blame it on monday perhaps?

food = 3. quite an extensive portuguese menu. the presentation of my choice was good, but i think we need a salt-meter if there's such a thing. too salty - requires the attention of our health minister!

service = 4. quite attentive and not overwhelming.

well, if you love portuguese cuisine - this is your place. you want to watch your bp - stay away if that's the general recipe across this chain.
