boxcar coffeeroastershas a refined, somewhat pricy update on cowboy coffee, with the coarse grounds lightly boiled in water for a couple of minutes. it's largely done to counteract boulder's higher elevation, and hence lower boiling point.

excellent espresso. after having been in the denver/boulder/longmont area for six months, i finally came across the best tasting coffee in colorado. their name is boxcar coffeeroastersand the product they deliver is superb. if you venture into the main shop on pearl street, you will be treated to baristas dressed in derpression-era garb. the art of pulling shots and pouring latte art is alive and well within those walls. the coffee is roasted on site and from what i can tell is sold wholesale to many other coffee shops in the region. excellence is what you can expect from the coffee. the one drawback is the available seating in the shop.
