i like the burgers here.... yes, they do serve burgers here. of all kinds. and hot dogs, and wings, and "gourmet" salads. it's a veritable smorgasbord! the setup here is a little different. you can either fill out the order form a la mooyah and take it to the counter and pay where they will make your meal, or you can grab a seat and a server will come by and take your form and wait on you. i just did it myself and built my own burger. in this case it was a double (1/2 lb) with bleu cheese, mustard, tomato, pickles, grilled jalapenos and grilled onions. that, a large order of onion rings and and a regular drink set mebacka little over $10.00. pretty amazing deal considering the amount of onion rings i received.

the rings had a smooth, tempura outer coating and could have easily served two, or three people with smaller appetites. the first rings were super hot too, having come right out of the fryer. the burger was pretty amazing as well. they placed everything i wanted on it and had it out to me in about five minutes. wrapped in aluminum foil they managed to keep it hot without steaming the bun.

the atmosphere here is laid back. it's tries to be a biker bar, but it's actually too snazzy for that. fourteen hd screens are scattered strategically around the bar area, dining area, and rear patio for your enjoyment. everything was on mute while they had some fantastic late 60's-early to mid 70's music gushing out of the speakers. it was some the best music i've heard in a long time while having a meal. depending where you are sitting, it can be a bright, well-lit area, or you can sit somewhere where you are surrounded by somber tones. wooden chairs or barstools? take your pick. they are both up for grabs. minimal decorations are evident other than a jaw-dropping bottlecap alley aircraft mural and the ever present neon beer signs. one wall is made up entirely of intricate brickwork over which a couple of flatscreens lay.

located in old town keller, all of the parking is to the side of the restaurant and directly at back. other than the aggravation of having to fill out your own order, i like everything about this place. this is one of several bottlecap alley's scattered throughout tarrant county including southlake, the original in grapevine, and a new one in fort worth on foch st. i highly recommend this bottlecap alley and hope to eventually hit them all.

the biggest take away from dining at bottle cap alley icehouse grill is the "icehouse" part. this is essentially a bar with a restaurant built around it. the experience was nice. it certainly had the texas middle class sports bar vibe and executed it nicely. ambiance is as expected. music, loud talking, laughing drinking and having a great time! there were plenty of tvs showing a myriad of different sports and events to entertain everyone. the bar is very well appointed with several local and national beers on tap, and the staff were pleasant and accommodating.

the food seemed to be your typical icehouse bar fare. the prices didn't exactly scream "great value", but they weren't ridiculous... unless you ordered one of their wonderful hotdogs. the menu shown here on zomato is old and inaccurate. lets break this down. i ordered the "bacon dog" the dog was a delicious kosher all beef frank topped with sauteed onions, spicy mustard, and what was essentially fresh home made bacon bits. this was all delivered on what i would have to describe as a texas toast bun. when the menu specifically says "big dogs", one might expect something... well big. unfortunately not here. the over all package was really no bigger than an average "ball park" frank, and at $4.20 (no sides) it was actually very disappointing. the rest of the party ordered burgers and a blt and were very happy with their choices and the burgers were praised. we also ordered the loaded bacon cheese fries. delivered as advertised.

there was good side to getting an unfortunately small hotdog. it prompted me to gobackand order more food. i was able to indulge in their $8 loaded frito pie! talk about a kick! i know its a simple food, but it was delicious! fritos, yea. onions, of course. cheese and jalapenos, check and check. it was their meaty perfectly spiced home made in house chili that set it off. i unfortunately ate the whole bowl... after the hot dog... by myself! i enjoyed every bite!

this is a great place to get a great an ice cold beer, enjoy the sports, pool table, music and traditional bar fare. i recommend it. sorry for the terrible picture of the updated menu.

good burgers. we went to the one in southlake. we actually came through thebackdoor but made our way up front to order which is a little different. you color in what you want on the menus and hand them in which i thought worked well. i had a double meat burger which was really good. the fries were pretty good as well. service was not great but the large amount of tv screens there made the experience a pretty enjoyable one overall. i would certainly go again.

we will not return. we decided to try this new place yesterday, and the word "disappointed" doesn't cover how we felt about our meal. first of all, we're not all that big on the whole "serve yourself" concept, but we tried it anyway. then the food didn't turn out well, either. it seems like they start out with great ingredients to start, but the preparation didn't go well in our case. the burgers were burned to the point they were crunchy, and the grilled onions were not very well cooked. our onion rings were burnt as well. we will opt to gobackto no frills up the road where the food is better, prices are cheaper, and we are waited on. sorry, we tried to like it!

first impressions. we park inbackand walk in through the patio and are standing in front of the cashier trying to figure out what to order and we are asked if we have been here before, we say no, and are directed to the line where you fill out your order on paper forms and told when you are done you simply hand them to the cashier. we finish filling them out, and then wait behind someone that is reading off every little variation of their large order. wth? next cashier opens up she accepts our forms checks to be sure she has order right and hands us our buzzer. we ordered three burgers. they got two of the three wrong (missing ingredients i had paid for). burgers were average. beer selection is limited to watery/fizzy stuff (bmc). why eat here when you can go next door for the same price, have a better selection of food and beer???
