boshamps seafood & oyster house

perfect again! last summer vacation, made complete by our last dinner (3rd night back to boshamps after 3 other lackluster meals elsewhere). i know fresh seafood and i know hospitality...so does this place. love it! see y'all in 3 months!!!

wow! amazing view, great food and best place for families in destin for sure! my husband and i watched our twins play on the beach with the beach toys and bean bag toss games while we enjoyed our drinks and appetizers from the middle deck with the umbrellas. it was a little hot, but we should have sat on the big covered deck, but oh well. anyway...we'll be going back, probably tonight, so the kids will wear themselves out again and i can try that filet i wanted last night (though the snapper was delicious). love it!

over priced , over seasoned, probably won't return. looks like the oysters are the thing to order based on reviews. manager was nice though!

boshamps has a great atmosphere, delicious food, excellent service, and a beautiful view of the harbor. it's a great place to take the family for lunch and dinner. plan to stay and listen to the band on the patio and let the kids enjoy the hammocks or play a few games of corn hole.

ho-hum. st. george oysters good. anyway you want them good. couldn't find anything that sounded good to eat or that i was willing to pay for. left after eating oysters & went somewhere else. most likely will never eat here again. waitress was really nice.

i'm a local. love this place. fantastic view of harbor. putin' on the grits fav app. gumbo is yummy. "the original" snapper destin to die for. fresh fish caught daily. gulf fish sandwich. bobo's burger!!!! can't wait to eat there again and try more. great live music too!

this is definitely a place for tourist...you are paying high prices for below average food. they have some amazing ideas for some side dishes but they are lacking any seasoning except their fries, they didn't hold back on the pepper with the fries. this local is not impressed by this new place in destin

amazing everything!. great view of the harbor, amazing outdoor and indoor seating, beautifully decorated, attentive and friendly staff, and great food. just about everything (down the sauces) are made in house. best restaurant in destin!

amazing food, amazing view, great for kids!. being a local, my family and i waited a month until we ate here for lunch. we wanted to make sure we gave them a fair shot! i hate we waited so long! first of all, when you walk in the changes that have been made to this building are great! the rustic wood and the openness is so inviting! then we headed out back with the kids and there was a beach, full of toys for them to play with! my husband and i sat on the lower deck and had a drink, (i had a moscow mule - yummy! and my husband had a nice glass of red wine) before we sat down to eat. it was so nice to relax with a drink, while we could watch our kids play on the beach. we could've played a few games of corn hole while we waited, but we decided to relax and let the kids play. :) the decks they have built are great and the views are amazing!

when we sat down, we were greeted by johnny. talk about service with a smile! we ordered the lobster corn dogs for an app. not knowing what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised! a whole lobster tail split, dipped in corn dog batter and fried to perfection with an amazing tangy sauce! and a bonus fried lobster claw on the side.. all i can say is you have to order this!

the kids were very pleased with their fish fingers, and they are hard to please! we ordered a cheese burger and the fried chicken sandwich.. we couldn't get over the bacon spread.. i think "bacon marmalade".. that was on the sandwiches. burger was cooked perfectly and the fried chicken sandwich was the best i've ever had.

being a local, it's hard to find a decent place to eat.. and i think we've found another staple restaurant for us! they thought of everything at boshamps and we cannot wait to go back! 5 stars in our book!!

bland, bland, bland. i was so excited to try boshamps out. the restaurant is decorated beautifully and the view of the harbor is amazing. however, the food was average at best. the hushpuppies were very dense and were actually the worst i've ever tasted. i had the shrimp and grits, the grit cake was tasty but needed a ton of salt and the two shrimp that i received tasted like dirt. for a dish you pay 16 dollars for you would expect more than two shrimp. two others in my party ordered the fried fish baskets. the french fries were cold and mushy, tarter sauce was off and the cole slaw was a joke. i'm extremely disappointed with boshamps. i was embarrassed i suggested the place to my friends.

beautifu but bland. my wife went for lunch with her boss and had the crab claws and a pork and ham sandwich which she said was good so, we decided to go for lunch this past saturday.

first of all, this place is expensive for what you get. we split six oysters rockefeller, she had the craw fish basked and i had "puttin' on the grits" which consisted of grit cakes, shrimp and crab. everything was well presented but, the broiled cheese on the oysters overpowered everything. you could not taste the oyster, only the cheese. for $14, my shrimp and grits had two grit cakes, some lump crab and two shrimp in a lemon beurre blanc sauce...a bit skimpy for the price but, well presented. this dish was bland, had to be generously salted and i needed to add some hot sauce for some brightness otherwise it would have been way too plain. although fried well, my wife's craw fish were so bland, you could not tell they were craw fish. every fried craw fish recipe that i've seen (and executed) have had plenty of seasoning in the breading mix. not sure what they were thinking here. when mentioning all of this to our server, he said "i'm sorry" with a vacant stare.

although beautifully remodeled and having a great view, this place is no better than the lousy food at most of the other tourist traps on the water (back porch, crab trap, pompano joe's, etc.).
