my partner and i had an amazing valentines dinner, they had a special menu consisting of farmer’s platter, peirogi, salad, dessert and cocktail. we also ordered the date night vodka tasting platter.
thedrinkswere all amazing, hazelnut vodka blew my mind away.
farmers platter was equally delicious with lots of different flavours, we loved the cheeseburger peirogi.
we asked if we could change prawn to beef peirogi and they accidentally served us prawn but that’s totally okay as they were delicious, my partner has a very mild allergy so he couldn’t eat it and they were kind enough to give us replacement but we were too full.
the service was by the staff was just brilliant, they were super friendly and attentive to our needs, they apologized a thousand times for giving us the wrong order but we could totally understand as it was a busy evening.
overall, 9/10 would definitely revisit with my friends.

good food, questionable service. with not many polish restaurants around, we thought we'd go there for something a little different. the menu provided a delicious range of options, with my favourite being the lamb ragout and mushroom blintzes. the beetroot salad and gnocchi were tasty. the honey vodka prawns sounded amazing, however they were overcooked and not to the standard of the rest of the meal. thedrinksand huge selection of vodkas were fantastic.

the downside of our experience was the extremely rude and very pushy waitress. despite never having met us, she kept trying to persuade us not to order certain items that we all wanted, instead insisting that we order things we didn't want and making us feel very uncomfortable. she continued to be rude throughout our time there and it ruined our experience. despite really enjoying most of the food, we won't be going back again.

great food, average service. went here on sunday night and, as always, the food was amazing! i had the potato pierogi and russian borsch, and my friend had the polish sausages. our meals were both amazing. the only cocktail i was drinking was 'the land of ladies' which was so amazing i put it up there with one of the nicest cocktails i have ever had!! it tasted like drinking sour red lollies and was maybe a little too easy to drink, they went down pretty fast. the only negative comment i have about the restaurant was the staff didn't stop at our table very often, we were waiting quite a while fordrinksand probably would of had more if someone came up to our table more often.

delicious food and amazingdrinksdelivered with great customer service, i mean come on! borsch, vodka and tears was my go to when i used to live in the area. the place is edgy, always filled with a large gathering of uber cool crowds. i had no experience of polish food prior to bvt, but man i was utterly impressed by everything on the menu. i highly recommend their sharing dishes, the more the merrier! i can not fault this place on bit, highly recommend!

ps: don't forget to visit their sister restaurant - after the tears in elsternwick. tha bomb!

food wise - the cheese and potato pierogi are a must order!! honestly i could eat 50000 of these dumplings they are so delicious.
however the reason why i visit this place is for their vodka. theirdrinksmenu is an overwhelming selection of fantastic alcohol (my go to is the sex in krakow) that you just simply must try.
the staff here are also incredibly welcoming and warm which makes it all even better!

borsch, vodka and tears is a pumping and buzzing bar located in the heart of chapel street. definitely a great venue to have a drink with a few friends on a night out. i came here with a group of mates on thursday night, we all had a fewdrinksand had a great time. i ordered the sunburn drink which was a chilli-infused vodka and i'm not sure why, but it tasted horrendous! i felt so sick afterwards. the other beverages that everyone else had, tasted great but unfortunately, i didn't have the best experience!

the staff are extremely friendly and the bar (although crowded) has an awesome vibe to it. i would recommend the place but definitely not to order the 'sunburn'!

ever since our visit to the sister bar - after the tears in elsternwick, we were so impressed that we had to come to borsch, vodka & tears to enjoy some more authentic polish food and sip on something from their never endingdrinksmenu (it is actually 10 times longer than their food menu!!).
of course we couldn’t go past their pierogi’s. this time, we decided to order 6- and the lady was kind enough to let us choose 2 different flavours. the potato and cheese pierogi was by far my favourite. the dumpling skin and filling was soft and went together so nicely with the fried onion and sour cream on top- quite the perfect combination!
the highlight of the night was the crispy beetroot rice balls - absolutely sensational! they’re pretty much like arancini balls, super crispy on the outside, but the arborio melts in your mouth as you bite into it.
the menu is slightly different to their sister bar, as after the tears has a larger menu focused on the food. we ended up trying several entrees and only 1 main from borsch vodka and tears as their food menu wasn’t as extensive.
overall, an evening well spent at borsch vodka & tears as we thoroughly enjoyed our food. it is a bar, so you would expect it to be quite loud inside.

we were amazed by the wide selection of vodka on the menu! we tried the hawthorne berry and black currant shots as well as a couple of cocktails. all thedrinkswere delicious! we had the bison wings, pierogi and ice cream sandwich. these were also very delicious and we ended up ordering a second round of the wings and pierogi.

visited on a saturday night and enjoyed the ambience and people watching on chapel st. thedrinkslist is huge and leaves you wondering where to start. the food was brilliant, with the cheese and potato pierogi leaving us wanting more. wish i had the stomach space to try this borscht. finished off the night with a hazelnut vodka martini which topped off a fantastic night. make sure you book!

great service and drinks. i do really enjoy the venue, food for me is not exactly perfect due to my expectations of what was cooked at home but that doesn't mean it isn't good, i just would expect some differences.

staff are always extremely polite and attentive, drinksmenu is amazing and of course vodka is high priority.
