seating by the white sand is worth every penny. food is a little pricey but atmosphere is worth it. coconut crusted mahi mahi was excellent. fish tacos were good too.

great!!!. we loved this place! it was so nice to have a meal and a drink with your feet in the sand. the shrimp are absolutely to die for - huge - fresh, clean and delicious. get the shrimp cocktail or the sunset seafood trio - elegantly presented and definitely enough to share. yum!!! my dad had the steak flatbread and he really liked it. it looked great. prices are reasonable and we were very content.

beautiful beach bar. nice laid back atmosphere, good food and live music that isn't too loud. really enjoy singer songwriter dave valliere when he plays here.

on first night at the grand plaza and the sunset was magnificent. we decidedto stay around campus and eat at bongos to enjoy the extent of it. honestly ourexpectations weren't that high - it's called bongos after all! bongos is part of the grand plaza in st pete beach with a prime spot on thebeach. it has a few distinct areas. thetables on the beach with a front row view of the ocean and sunset where you cansqueeze the sand through your toes while you eat. then there are the stools at and surroundingthe bar for the serious drinker but it's raised so again a good view of theocean and sunset. for the music loversthere are relaxing sofas around the stage to have a cocktail and listen to livemusic (limited view of ocean and sunset). for a little privacy there is a raised dining area with only a fewtables but it is close to the stage so you can hear the music very clearly andof course it has a nice view of the ocean and sunset. and finally there are the sofas and tablesaround the bar that a

good experience in spite of drunk jerks. my wife and i choose bongos so we could watch the incredible sunset taking place. she ordered the beachside burger and i had the sesame crusted ahi tuna and pesto mussels. all three were great. i was nervous about getting gritty mussels and sub standard tuna (not knowing the place) but only one mussel had a little grit but the pesto on them made the dish - truly enjoyed a first time experience with pesto on my mussels and loved it. the tuna was everything that i hoped it would be. my wife said the burger was wonderful as well.
the sunset was exceptional, the setting was inspiring, the music was good, the drunks idiots at the table next to us was almost unbearable. there were a couple tables with children that i thought would probably confront them but no one wanted to start anything with people that at 8pm were already past the point of no return. its disappointing that the management allowed them to be served that much and that they allowed them to yell obsenities again and again.
good experience except for the drunk jerks.
