friendly staff, the place is overly loud.
they offer tasting of your choice of wine before you order to see if you like it.
i tried their take on negroni which was slightly sweet but tasted equally strong. they also serve the original negroni too.
their small crispy prawns/shrimps went really well with the drinks (especially if you're a beer lover).

i've been to bomba for the melbourne truffle festival for 3 years in a row and it never disappoints. this is my favourite spanish restaurant in town . looking forward to the annual truffle festival next year!

i had the barramundi which was nice, and had nice toppings but for such a basic and small dish $32 was too much. i was expecting something much bigger, salmon would normally cost this much if not less. it was nice food but the prices needed to be reassessed.

we loved 😍
this place has got to be one of my favourite spanish tapas places in melbourne. the pork neck and cauliflower purée was amazing! it made for a good dip for bread also. the scallops and prawns were also very flavourful! i’m not usually a fan on corn but the charred corn paired with the chipotle-like sauce really made it a stand out. the crime brûlée is an excellent choice for dessert!

we disliked 😖
i was really excited to try the paella but it was a let down unfortunately. the seafood didn’t taste as fresh as the other seafood dishes and the flavours just weren’t there. there are better paella places in melbourne.

been meaning to try bomba for ages now and finally got the chance tonight. even though they were fully booked the staff was very accommodating and found a spot for us at the bar. the menu was explained and the service was great. the food was very very tasty and the scallops were to die for. definitely coming back for a proper dining experience.

nice chill vibes and very friendly staff. my friend and i decided to order lots of small plates to share. they were all delicious, but some of my favourites were the school prawns, the morcilla montaditos, the lamb ribs with yoghurt and the patatas bravas. we also had the chocolate orange ice cream and the bomba mess for dessert (ended on really high note!) always been a fan of spanish food and this place totally vindicates that!

went here last night for some nibbles before going to ngv, shared the seafood paella, the calamari and mussels were flavourful and the paella was super hot and delicious.
for tapas we had the scallops which were crunchy - a little bit salty but i would recommend it.
the lamb ribs were probably the best with sumac yogurt,
we also had the bone marrow on toast with wagyu cecina and croquette which was okay, we shared one between two.
the place was pretty busy on a saturday night and we managed to get a one hour seating from 6:30-7:30 without booking, great vibes and would love to visit the rooftop another day!

service is excellent, food is inspired and interesting. diverse rich flavours, slow cooked foods with beautiful fresh ingredients. complementary flavours throughout all the dishes and cocktails, mocktails, and drinks to match. workers lunch is a treat and excellent value but make sure you book. outstanding.

my partner and i had dinner here and the service was excellent. the staff were really personable and friendly.

i couldn’t decide what to eat so we agreed to get a feed me 3 course menu. we got 9 dishes over 3 courses and we really enjoyed the lot.

my partner didn’t want seafood so the waiter said “no problem” and that was catered for. it was all very seamsless and easy.

if you go here you must try their complimentary home made sourdough bread which was soo good i asked for seconds lol

croquettes, lamb ribs, sliced zucchini on rye bread, corn, a prawn for me, a yummy salad, pork jowls, spatchcock and the most amazingly delicious dessert! yummmmo

the cocktails were amazing too! this place is a must visit if your in the city and reasonably priced for what you get.

my boyfriend and i went here last week for the first time and what a great discovery !

when we arrive around 8pm, the restaurant was full so we had to wait 30 minutes before to get a table, the waiter at the door suggested to have a drink upstairs in their rooftop bar. amazing cocktails with a beautiful view on the city - highly recommend to come early and have a drink here before dinner ! they also serve snacks on the rooftop, we tried the olives and the school prawns which were both very good.

once our table was ready downstairs, we ordered some oysters, the pipis, the sardines, quails, and a seafood paella - everything was excellent !

we tried 4 different glasses of spanish wine, all very nice.

the waiter that served us was very attentive, helpful and efficient.

will definitely come back again !!

tried this place due to high ratings but were quite disappointed. food is quite average compared to their sister’s restaurant anada. but their service is very attentive.

came here on a late dinner with my sister. had the school prawns, seafood/fish paella and pork jowl. the pork jowl with mashed cauliflower was really good. the mash is so soft and creamy, great pairing with the saucy pork. paella on the other hand is a disappointment. seafood was not fresh and it ruined the whole dish. overall it was an okay meal. will i come? maybe no.

stunned again by the amazing quality and value of the food here. five of us started with some montatidos - my favorite being the spcied beetroot and goats curd topped with an almost airy morcilla. we followed with the sweet corn, lamb ribs and the cheese croquettes which would've all gladly eaten a bucket of! next was the barramundi, which was a light spring delight and my favorite the slow cooked sticky pork in black sherry. we also had a frekkah salad and yummy crunchy patas bravas. this maybe should've been enough but we couldnt resist a warm eggy portuguese tart as well.  we all agreed we had chosen a well balanced menu, and had all felt we had a good taste of every dish. including our drinks it was $60 each. cannot recommend highly enough!

full marks for the ambience. service was very good.

however, the food was not as tasty as expected from the ratings and reviews here. it is heavy for the pocket. the tapas were the only thing i found worth having again.

the menu was of a new type for me and it was well explained by the waitress.

the workman’s lunch is excellent value at $15 for a starter, racione and a side dish. our party of 3 ordered the croquettes, grilled corn, calamari bocadillo, pork jowl, patates and freekah salad. the salad was really awesome. not quite the standard of movida, but i don’t expect it to be as it is a fraction of their prices! can’t wait to return to try other dishes. service was friendly and on point.
