i like it. an unpretentious tapas restaurant in the alleyways of surrey hills. the food is very good and full if flavour. not outstanding but a great place to share a meal and drinks with friends. probably the best tapas i've had so far.

we ordered four dishes. three were exceptional: chorizo, pork chipotle steam bun, and the lamb (cooked for 48 hours at 58 degrees!!!!) the forth was good - the spatchcock. great atmosphere, good, informed service and excellent food!

lucky me, finally got a table at bodega without the queue. no waiting required? only because i went during lunch time.

it was a rhetorical question. did you want to eat at bodega or somewhere else? i didn't hear the rest of the question. for a tiny tapas bar, the menu is extensive - 22 different dishes and all of them so tempting. "fish fingers" $16 sashimi kingfish on ga

i consider myself to be quite organised. on vacations, i like to know roughly what i am doing and where i am each day. i could not possibly have a holiday where i make plans as i go nor would i like to book flights/accommodation at the last minute. the sa

don't tell the other spanish restaurants in sydney, but bodega is putting out tapas that is putting everyone else to shame.

plates of prettily presented bite sized foods pleases me greatly so i was super excited when the lovely ellie from kitchen wench from melbourne asked on twitter (hey follow me on twitter here) if any of the syd foodbloggers were available for a meetup and

there is much ado about bodega, its been listed as the best tapas restaurant in sydney by almost every food writer, food critic and food blogger. i had to go taste for myself what all the noise was about. it had been a hard week at the office, i was adama

the name of this place can send a foodie into convulsions or a regular diner into a frustrated frenzy! bodega is still one of sydney's hottest places to eat despite no longer being the new kid on the block - yep, hangin' tough.

no bookings please, we're too popular. bodega do not welcome the large group unless everyone is present and accounted for. it took some persuasion to secure seats for our latecomers. the tapas on offer were however worth the cooler than thou approach to seating! indeed, surry hills up and coming set seem quite enamoured with bodega. but it's no wonder when there is such a great selection of original tapas and a decent wine menu on offer. the wagu we had from the specials board was quite memorable, as were the sashimi kingfish fingers. it should also be said that, once seated, the service from our 50's rockabily styled waitstaff was quick, professional and warm in all the right amounts. just make sure you're on time!

ever since my first visit, years ago, i’ve been a big fan of bodega. to be honest i’ve been there so many times i’ve lost count. it’s well and truly a favourite.
