bob's red mill

healthy food, freshly done.. my hubby and i have been going to this restaurant for several weeks now. it's not run like most restaurants, you wait in line, order and get your drink and find a table on the main floor, outdoors or upstairs. we have had some wonderful servers who go out of their way to get you what you need. once my husband said the soup wasn't enough and the server brought him another bowl free of charge. if bob happens to be around you may get serenaded on the upstairs grand piano. he plays all the classics.
on to the food.
1.top sirloin steak= not so good. small portion and a little fatty and tough. the baked potato was nice and we had asparagus with it. the rolls are all good.
2. salmon= wonderfully cooked and i had the quinoa. very nice portions.
3. meatloaf= 2 large slices of meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy. very delicious.
4. ratatouille and grits= great vegetarian meal. i have never had this dish before or grits, and i must say i found it very tasty and filling. i liked this very much.
5. turkey dinner= this meal is served thursday only and it is why we keep coming back. the cream of turkey noodle soup is delicious and rich. you get two or three large slices of turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, vegetable of the day and cornbread stuffing and cranberry sauce. this is a huge portion and we usually have to take some home with us. so very good!
i would not recommend the dinner salad, very puny and not so good, the soups are pretty outstanding so you can't go wrong with them.
there was only one time we had a problem with our order otherwise the people are fantastic. this is a real treat for us.

never been to a restaurant where the kids won't eat the pancakes. then i tasted them. it was like eating gritty wall spackle mixed in with a little water & sour milk. they were gross. i will say the staff is very kind and very attentive. i am also a big fan of red mill products. but this restaurant is very average.

the food was ok but what gives it 5 stars is the service. all of the employees were above and beyond nice. everyone from the lady taking out order to the lady who brought out our food. as i was checking out, the cashier let me know i could find my item at a less expensive price in the bulk section. amazing service, thank you!

good food good service. love this place. good food and employees are helpful. don't go if you want haute cuisine. go if you want healthy good that tastes good.

over rated. stand inline to order. sit down w a number. slow food delivery. self help drinks. over priced. cheesy grits were tasteless. ordered some type of range sausage. tasted like tofu. ordered a fried cheesy grit. over priced small & tasteless. waitress never stopped back to see how the meal was. serves it & never returns. blah!

nice lunch spot. went to bob's red mill for lunch with a friend. bob's has a great atmosphere with lots of outdoor seating.

the ingredients are fresh and healthy.

i had a really good reuben and chips. breakfast is served till 3:00!

they offer a tour of their mill, and just down the road is their store slash restaurant. this is a great place to check out, with great prices. there is a huge seating area, and all kinds of items for cooking and baking, including an awesome section with all my favourite gfree cookbooks.

of course i'd love to love this lovable place, but after waiting 1/2 an hour for a cup of lukewarm soup (which was supposed to be a bowl)--what's to like? color me disappointed!

very exciting to find a restaurant that offers turkey bacon! rare, indeed great breakfasts, especially the biscuits. generous portions. good coffee. love to shop their grain aisles afterward.

i ordered a number 4: 2 eggs, hash browns and toast. i hadn't had hash browns in months and these hit the spot.

this place is amazing.everything is quality and the people are great.if you have kids and bob is there he gives them cookie coins.

great home-style food. baked potato with chili on top. great soups. sandwhiches like you'd make at home - if you had all the ingredients. friendly people. it's also a great place to eat or work.
