disney nawlins style. this is the restaurant in the port orleans riverside. it's themed (but not new orleans style) although i'm not really sure what the theme was supposed to be. we had a 6pm reservation and when we arrived the hostess seemed flustered over some tech problem, so she didn't greet us with that disney charm. we had to wait about 20 minutes for our table even though the restaurant was half empty (or half full, depending on how you look at it). started with a sangria which was good, i think it was $8.25 for a glass. dh got a soup with crab and corn in it and i tasted it and it was very good. i got a prime rib for dinner, it was somewhat fatty but very tasty with a cabernet sauce over it. it was served with three-.cheese hash brown potatoes and they were very good. normally this is the part where i would complain about the price, it was $26.00. for the size of it it was not worth the price but i suppose if your on vacation and your in
disney you try not to get to worked up over all the incidentals. otherwise we wouldn't have a magical day. dessert was ok, i had bananas foster with angel food cake, bananas were a little brown and the flavor was a little off. also at the table was a lemon pound cake with berries, but they were very stingy with the berries and the cake was not thatgoodand slightly stale. if i were staying at port orleans again i would go back but i wouldn't make a special trip to go to it. next time i would also try some of the more traditional new orleans dishes.
