its basically just a cafeteria with a big sign on the wall with a list of rules on how to stand in line...what type food to take first... so silly it stinks

not bad. the food is good. takes some time to get through the line. very small place. i would rate bd mongolian bbq better. it is bigger. it has a salad bar and you are able to get through the line faster.

tofu!!!. i’m a tofu lover and their tofu is awesome. i’m a pei wei fan myself and it’s hard to beat that..but blue pacific comes very very close which i love being so far away from home! i’m here at least twice a month!

absolutely fantastic!. when i moved from fort wayne, i was afraid i would lose out on good quality flat top grill food. blue pacific has allayed those fears with the best create-your-own stir fry experience i have encountered.

now, a bit of honest reflections about my experiences at bpg. it generally takes a few times of visiting a mongolian grill to really develop a flavor profile that is to your liking. the key is to not be afraid to try out new flavor combinations and see what fits your taste (for me, it's a combination of asparagus, pineapple, black beans, and tofu with salmon and sirloin as my proteins).

the nifty aspect about bpg that exceeds even my love for other mongolian grills is the integration of a "catch of the day" into the protein menu along with sauce/spice combinations that allow you to create fusion dishes. for example, my wife loves creating an italian-inspired stir fry by using the alfredo sauce and garlic salt with rotini pasta as her starch. i typically prefer thai-inspired flavors, so i use a great deal of peanut sauce and hints of soy.

finally, the value of bpg can be decent, if you go during the right times. a previous reviewer indicated that he/she visited on a thursday evening with a large party. this is probably inadvisable as bpg offers an awesome "date night" deal on thursday evenings where two people can receive unlimited stir frys, drinks, and a dessert for $30 (yes, drinks are included!). needless to say, when we have the chance, we like to go out to eat there on thursday evenings (which is what i would recommend for smaller parties, but not larger ones).

not a good experience. . . . twice. -a thursday 5:30 pm arrival with a group of 7. the restaurant was maybe 75% full during our visit, yet a long wait at the grill, from start to finish it was 20+ minutes to get back to the table. the first of our group thru the line was done eating long before the last sat down with food.
-an 18% tip automatically added (surely because of the size of our group) for bringing soft drinks, water, beer. (the food is self-service!) and a tip jar at the grill! i'll tip 20% for full-service . . . . this isn't.
-food grossly overcooked - i'm certain that the grill folks are trained to cook thoroughly, but huge overkill. and if you put any seafood in your bowl, it will be unrecognizable when you get your plate.
-starches cold - in every case at our table.

while the atmosphere @ bpg is better, bd's mongolian has it over these folks in every other way.

great food. kind of buffet style. you pick out the veggies, meat, and sauce and they cook it for you. like i said great food, but it is buffet style. you do not sit and get served your meal. waitress was nice and helpful.

think slightly more upscale version of mongolian bbq

blue pacific rocks. great place to eat. you can stack your bowl to the ceiling for 12.99! load up your meat first so you can stick your veggies to it!

i love this restaurant! $13 for your whole meal, just amazing!!!
